Onmyoji - Quick Guide to Leveling and Farming

This is a quick guide on how to efficiently level your onmyoji and shikigami. The method worked for me and should work for you as well, but do keep in mind this is only for references, you may be able to find a more efficient farming strategy depending on your units.

Is it worth it to spend jade on refilling AP?

In my opinion, it is worth it to refill AP, especially the first refill everyday bc it only cost 60 jade, each consecutive refill will increase the cost of refilling (2nd refill = 80 jade, 3rd refill = 100 jade.) Of course ultimately it depends on how vigorously you are playing the game. I'd recommend players to at least buy the 60 jade AP each day and keep them in the mail, even if you are not using it, you have 14 days to use them before they expire and you get to use them whenever you want without having to buy over price AP. i think its not Worth.. the level is not so important infact.. high level doesn't mean too much .. save all the jade for draws..

hongbo zhang you have a point there. There are definitely benefits to surpress lvl but you will inevitably need to farm for exp to promote your DPS and folders. It's a matter of preference how you like to spend your jade of course. Whether it'd be to spend them or improving your units or try to draw more units to play with. Whichever way you think you'll enjoy more, just try to have fun 🙂

Guys, don't level too fast without leveling your shikigami first, your shikigami dps are top priority, your onmyoji will not do much at high level, in fact a lot of players now regret for leveling too fast without leveling the shikigami, This game difficulty adjust on your onmyoji this include realm raids, random encounter, demon encounter etc. (The game punished anyone who level too fast on onmyoji but forgeting to upgrade their shikigami.)

Mitch I agree, all Onmyojis are damage lacking (except Hiromasa), I always take my time to make my Shikigamis stronger.

Hyrkan _ There might be some way to level your Shikigamis faster, but it is recommended to battle Shikigamis with exp. buffs in Exploration. Make sure you have a lot of AP if you want to farm a lot. Another option would be putting your Shikigami in the Realm and use a G2 to G6 Realm Card. Additionally, the more you farm with maxed Shikigamis, your exp. pot will fill up the excess exp. so you can give it to your promoted Shikigami.

abcdead hang in there man. That's the thing about games like this. It's very luck based. Take advantage of the SR unit Ubume who is just as good as an SSR, and do the 100 summons for SSR event for a guaranteed SSR

For farming the fastest and most efficient shikigami would be optimized Ibaraki Douji and Tamamo no mae, with 101 crit rate and high crit dmg, but very hard get and achieve. Good luck ppl.

Hello Nice video there May i ask you how to farm with fodder efficiently? My ibaraki doji at lvl 30 right now and i dont have any fodder for promote at the moment Do you think using white daruma for promote 4star to 5star worth it? Or should i wait for 5star to 6star?

Sorry I almost missed your msg, to answer your question, it's very common to run out of fodders, remember you can get broken amulets from exploration maps, and personal realm raids. And yes it is a great idea to use white daruma to promote units to 5 stars, it's even okay to promote them from 3s to 4s (a bit wasteful, but still okay if you really want) Personally, I only use white daruma for S4 to S5, and S5 to S6. Seems like you are making good progress with your Ibaraki, keep it up and good luck!

My main source of gold income is from exploration, I know it doesn't drop much, but it slowly racks up as you farm more. You may also get some through fighting the Kraken of Coin spirits, and you may get some coins from completing the daily events (demon encounter, etc) otherwise there arent any secret passage to getting more coins, it would be really helpful though to turn on the 100% gold buffs before any major coin drop fights (like Kraken/coin spirit.)

Hey thanks for the vid I just started playing this game. My ssr was at max level and I used level 1 n fodder to make him level 25. Does it make a difference what kind of fodder you use to release them?

Welcome to the game! To your question, it doesn't make any different what fodder you are using, UNLESS you are using Black daruma or the same unit as fodder. Either one will lead to a random skill ups on whatever unit they are getting fused to.

How do you mean, I assume you are at 4s max, so inorder to get him to 5s, you would need FOUR 4s units as fodders :/ there's going to be some grinding ahead of you my friend.

Antonios Fragkos thank you so much for liking my video. To your question, how fast and slow are we talking. I assume we are autoing instead of manual? Definitely don't want to manual bc it's stressful unless you want to train your will to keep grinding. Just based on my own preference I would go with hard mode even if it might take longer bc you get more coins, exp and better souls with the same amount of AP. So go hard unless it's taking too long. Or simply farm an easier hard chapter. There's no correct nsser here, just a matter of preferences. Good luck!

How you made that 2 shikigamis are "watching" just when you start? I'm have to replace 2 of my fighting shikigamis and then bacwkards to place other two watching :/

Your level needs to reach a certain point in the game first, then when you do exploration maps, make sure the Lineup Locked towards the bottom right is UNCHECKED, that way when you enter into battle you will have the option to tap on the highlighted spectator (or watch) area to select what units you want to place there to spectate/watch

Here is an onmyoji player from China… Actually the level of user is not very important for this game for me, I played the game for one year and I am still staying in level 40. The level might help you in some situation in pvp and pve but not a lot. The most important thing is to train the shigigami (I have 3 shigigami that are G6).

Thanks for your input, you're right your Onmyoji rank is not as important as souls and shikigami lvl, this video is more geared toward leveling units but I made it seem like it's a big deal to lvl up the Onmyoji, might change the title and thumbnail later to alleviate that effect XD

They serve the same purpose as fodder, its better to use N shikis as fodder bc they are pretty much useless except for being fodder, while the EXP daruma (red daruma) can also be used to boost EXP for units. But if you are just starting out, you can use both since you might run out of fodders, later on in game you can choose to completely stop using red daruma and only use N shiki as fodder.

So if we don't find the boss after 3x xp boosted mobs do we just keep clearing all of the mobs until we do find the boss or back out?

There's really no hard set answer here, if there is only 1/2 mobs left, it might be a good idea to just clear out all of them, if there are mobs that you want to kill left (like you want more coin/souls) you can clear out as well, but if you are really going for maximum EXP efficiency only, you would quit as soon as you kill all the EXP mobs, even though that means you will miss out on the possible boss drop

Fastest way is to buy them from the mall, they are 50 medals each, otherwise just keep farming exploration, you get them as drops + from treasure chests.

Mr Calamari welcome to the game. The reason why we need to level up the N grade shikigami is so we can increase their grade level. Once we have increase their grade level. We can then use them as fodders for other units. For example in order to bring a G3 unit to G4, we need 3 G3 units as fodder. We can get these G3 units by leveling up the N grade unit and promoting them G2 to G3 using 2 G2 units. I make it sound more confusing than it actually is.Once you start promoting you'll get a hang of it.

Best way to farm soul is in Orochi 10, or the highest Orochi you can do, otherwise you can farm them in exploration while lvling your fodders/units

Sure, basically its a daily event that opens up during specific hour that will give you free stuff like medals, APs, and coins after completing it. There are mini quests that will give you rewards as well, treasure chests in the demon encounter sometimes give you a bargain deal on AP, mystery amulets, and others for 50 jade, the quizzes will test your knowledge on the game for various rewards like AP, jade, coins, boss encounter will test the strength of your team and you get coins and sometimes shards upon beating the bosses, or sometimes other players realm will pop up and upon battling them you get coins and special kekkai cards. The quests and missions you get are totally random, so its hard to say which are the best. But you should try and do the demon encounter each day for the guaranteed free rewards, which can be obtained simply by tapping the blue swirly icon 4 times, then tapping on the red daruma. If you are busy you can skip all the side quests and go for the red daruma icon for the rewards. TLDR: Do the demon encounter daily if you can, it's a quick and easy to earn generous rewards daily.

Catfish Jon you mean bottom right? The demon encounter can be pretty funky sometimes bc the game sometimes get weird.GPS issues, normally what happens when you press the gate is you will see one of the side quest popping out around your character icon. What I would suggest is click on the small compass icon on the bottom left corner first, which recalibrate the screen to your Onmyoji icon, then press demon gate to spawn a quest (4 chances per day). If this fails again try switching device or play on the PC version like Facebook gameroom or steam. Or shoot an email to support.
