Buzzing my hair was the best decision I've made, easy drying, no worries, little to no styling. Plus, people say I look good in it. (I have thick brows and significantly sharp features so maybe that played a factor)

Literally my exact same experience. I have thick eyebrows with a positive tilt, thick eyelashes and almond-hunter shaped eyes with a neutral/positive canthal tilt + a good squared jawline and the 0-½ guard buzzcut amplifies my facial features like crazy. I don't even have a perfect hairline, neither high nor low with a bit of asymmetry in the middle but it's an insanely good look.

I'm African and I was really looking forward to a video like this but most youtube videos in the fashion industry don't include people like us despite our population of 1.4 billion people, excluding people from African decent. It is a bit disappointing and sad if I'm being honest. But for the most part this is a great channel and with even better videos, this little problem won't stop me from turning on notifications and checking in with every new upload.

I've had 4 buzz cuts in the last few years and a fade for the last 7-8 years since I startted cutting my own hair. I don't honestly understand the mullet trend either. Also middle part is a big teenage trend right now. I'd say, as a barber, young Di Caprio or Banderas are the only ones I'd go for being 26 or just go back to a high/mid faded undercut, it makes you look clean and easy to live with in summer time. I'm still growing out my buzz cut though and do a cleanup every 2 months to avoid having a helmet look.

@@mz7135 I have been growing from a buzz cut for nearly 5 months now (a few times I trimmed my sides a bit) and at first I'd say clean up around your ears anddo a light taper, after a while if you want to have hair to tuck over your ear you should stop the fades and just embrace it for a few months and the do a cleanup once you feel ready but remember, the more frequent cuts you get, the less growth you achieve in the long run. :)

One key point is missing. A lot of this depends on your face shape. I have a round face and the long leo dicaprio hair would make my face look bloated. You need sharp features and a good jaw structure for the long hair/slick back to look good. Buzzcuts also make your face look even rounder for ppl with a genetically round face structure lol. I always thought a fade on the sides with longer hair on the top worked well for me. To each their own but should really ask barber or hairstylist what they would recommend for your face shape.

If you’re a black dude watching this and you’re open to dating most races, get a medium to short haircut or medium to short taper with an Afro. A small fro doesn’t hurt either ( Lenny Kravits, Damson Idris, Kaytranda) Also if you can try to grow a stubble beard or at least a moustache and chinstrap. Longer hair matched with nice facial hair always makes black guys stand out.

I have dreads, but I always like to keep it an inch or two above shoulder length. Long enough to have a short pony tail without drooping down the back. Pair it with a taper fade and clean beard, and I feel so gassed up for 2 weeks. Only problem is upkeep, my hair grows so fast so the style doesn't last much longer than that, and retwists can easily be $50-60+ but still, i love my dreads.

My head shaoe really suits a buzz cut. I used to keep my hair long my whole life, but I buzz it every two weeks now and fade the sides. I am not losing my hair, its just that i hate spending all that time towel drying my head after showering and then you find out its not even fully dry yet. You need a hair cut that helps define the proportions of your facial features. A lot of those guys in the video already have solid jawline and even facial width. (They are essentially gentialy blessed with good looks). Other guys may not have a trapezoid like jaw. I’m 20 and below, I do fuck with the flow and overgrown undercut look, but I personally like the 90s style the best. I think I’ll play around with it as I already have lengthy, albeit, messy hair. But the cheapskate in me can’t justify paying $40 for a “trim” when i can get can get a whole new look for the same price 😂

Sadly the slick back and overgrown top and tapered sides doesn’t work on course wavy to curly hair. Trust me I’ve tried it and it’s a nightmare. Personally I like to keep it 3-4 inches in length at the top and keep it to length by passing a high no. 8 clip. Sides can vary with no. 4 or 3. For anyone who reads this and is interested, the hairstyle looks like Tom Ellis’s hair in Lucifer season 1-3. Since my hair isn’t fully curly not straight it matches perfectly. Gives it a messy curls look and keeps it clean and simple. Edit: grammar

I just have them cut it down to 2 inches on the top and fade the rest. And they usually blend the sides so it’s not like a hat sitting on my head. It dosnt show my curls its only a little be wavy as it’s to short to curl all the way.

I have my top grown out to it into a small ponytail (and yes it was a bun in 2020, 2021 and 2022). Last autumn I had my sides and back short with no fade and since then I’m growing out these parts. My hair still looks decent because the top is already long and hence easy to maintain but my sides now need a little gel because they’re curling a little

never had a fade.. lol but I've seen this coming.... first short fade cuts everywhere, now it's slowly so mainstream that it starts to look real boring again because everyone and their grandmas had it and now the mainstream is shifting back to longer hair and all the videos and shit trying to push it like "if you wanna be cool do it like this in 2023" just like with clothes.. it goes back and forth. Skinny jeans and now back to baggy. And social media channels try to act like they now shit "oh this is so yesterday, do it like this now" wear whatever hairstyle suits YOU

I disagree. I would say the hairs for 22 and under still fits within the mid 20-30s. The only hair I would say that wouldn't fit above 22 would be bowl or the Justin Bieber cut lol

Right on brother, i was getting a trim ( fade) every 2 weeks, and got tired of that shite, now growing it out and best decision ive made.. saving money and time , and loving the new look, i just use a bit of gel to hold it in place..dont like mud, waxes, or paste, or hairspray, all too sticky .. my only issue is that my sides grow straight out and look weird, so i just have to get that trimmed.

Remember kids. Make sure to let others tell you what you like and dictate your look for you. People love seeing sheep people and groups of guys looking like identical gingerbread cookies. So never just do what you personally like! Always jump on trends and bandwagon things and avoid being yourself and unique at all costs. Who doesn't love that followers mindset of someone who thirsts to just fit in and do what everyone else is doing. And most importantly, if they jump off a bridge, don't hesitate. You follow that too. Immediately.

If you’ve got a wider forehead a fade is more suited because it creates the illusion that your forehead is narrower. It’s not one size fits all for haircuts.
