IIRC Room 306 in the main building had a small stairway that led up to a locked door to get access to the tower. We always wanted to go up in it one day but never had the opportunity. 🙄

It's the sound of a bush fire that still makes my blood run cold. As a kid growing up in Australia and living across from bushland we got some of the worst fires and the sound was like a freight train. Sadly Fire doesn't discriminate wether your rich or poor it doesn't care. My prayers go out to those less fortunate who have lost everything. Our apartment building was destroyed by fire caused by a lightning strike in a storm. It really is quite scary how quickly a fire can spread- especially in older structures. I feel so badly for everyone affected by this. Of course, it's a blessing to escape with your lives. But, the experience can be devastating. They're going to be heavily affected by this, not just financially but mentally for quite a while. Especially during special events and holidays.

The heat generated by these fires is phenomenal. Had a fire next door in our RV / trailer park. Heat blew out windows, as well as cracked windowpanes and fried the electrical wiring, inside walls on same side of the trailer which was next door to the one RV-- which quickly burned down! The other trailer on the opposite side (east) of the extremely damaged RV was completely burned to ashes and left an aluminum mess and framework from undercarriage / siding. I saved my trailer by hosing it down with a garden hose -- the roof and siding on all sides -- (before the fire department arrived) plus afterward. I am still trying by myself to get my place fixed from this event occurring 2+ years ago. I finished the exterior repairs now I am doing the interior wall repairs. Scary times, indeed, whether a trailer or a large house, business structure!

THANK YOU!!!! THE CHICKENS ARE SCARED TOO! I would've saved that poor rooster and all the chickens! Put them in my vehicle and take them to safety, not just leave them there! Seriously I'll be praying for the chickens and all of the animals who's homes were destroyed as well! Animals are living creatures too! God please lead all the animals to safety as they are smarter and kinder than human beings.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Little bit of info. The insurance companies, if you are insured for fire, will deduct any percentage of the house that is left after the fire from your settlement. For instance if they deem 25% of the house is still there, they will only pay out 75% of the claim.

The old Hollywood homes arelost forever..so sad. They are what made the area sp special..I am a native to the area and am most saddened by this. The newer homes are easily replaced but the old school ones...the characteristics are no longer even made in many cases..😢
