His truly was an accident and while horrific and sad for any families, the man was attempting to do his job, had a mechanical failure, and just could not process what to do in the amount of time he had to do it. It truly was an accident but this Bastard here, if found to have been drinking, in my opinion should be charged with a minimum of two counts of first degree murder and if found guilty, should be executed on the day of sentencing!! That would start slowing some of this crap down!!! He knew when he started drinking that if he continued, he would not be allowed by law to drive and he chose to completely disregard the laws and knew what could potentially happen if he continued but made the conscious decision to continue anyways with total disregard for other human life!! This is the perfect example of who should receive 110 years, not the truck driver, but I’m a firm believer in executing these damn drunks!!! It’s like we listen to a broken record week after week with the same results! @@mamacat63 not every city has them, but traffic light controls are becoming more and more popular. They're called traffic signal preemption. Several cities around me have them. There are different kinds but the most commonly used is called line-of-sight. Emergency vehicles are equipped with a strobe light that flashes at a specified frequency, and traffic signals are equipped with receivers programmed to detect that frequency (the receivers kind of look like one those motion lights people have installed above their garage or in their backyard). When the receiver detects the correct strobe frequency, the traffic lights will stop cross traffic and turn the signal green for the direction the emergency vehicle needs to go. This is most beneficial in congested areas as it allows the otherwise stopped traffic to proceed through the intersection, making it safer for everyone while allowing for a faster response by first responders.

Their heart and life, is forever destroyed and theirs should be too. Maybe if the punishment was that harsh, we wouldn't have so many repeat offenders. They won't want to get punished like that again. They might try harder to avoid jail. Rather than saying, " I get 3 square meals and rent free, all they can so is give me time".

@@lisageiger9841 omg that’s truly one of the best punishments I’ve ever heard of! There should be more judges like that and your right.. just like the victim’s family have to live with a broken heart, the criminal should have to be reminded of the heart break. And writing a check every single day for however long, is the perfect punishment.

@@ILOVEmyLord2024 I agree. When they go to the post office to mail their 1$ restitution everyday, they should have to wear the sign. They should use a bull horn to say " I was drunk/high and I murdered an entire family because I had to drink and drive" we should make these laws. Public humiliation would save us tax dollars and our prisons wouldn't be over crowded. How come we as normall citizens can come up with these kind of ideas and the government can't see how this would be an excellent idea?

I'm sure the lady in the charger was under the influence. How on earth do you not realize you are driving the wrong way. One tip from the police after the two cops killed by a wrong way driver in San Diego. After 10pm always drive in the right hand lane because even thought they are driving wrong way they will always stay on the right side of the road for them.
@Elizabeth-rq1vi3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm good point. As someone who drove the wrong way on a divided city street at night-I pulled out of a shopping mall that was on a curve-I remember it’s easy to get confused at night in an unfamiliar area. Though to get on a freeway going the wrong way can be challenging, I’ve seen some intersections near freeways that are a driver’s nightmare.
@justaskmeiknow55843 жыл бұрын
The reasoning behind staying in the right lane is because the wrong way driver is so hammered they think they're in the slow lane, to their right, where they think it's safe mean while they are completely oblivious that the median is on their right when in fact it's always on the left
