It’s true about the homeless encampments and because they are right in town those fire can threaten homes very quickly. People who don’t live here just don’t realize how easy it is to start a fire here when everything is drier than a piece of paper- the humidity is near zero and then a hot wind starts brewing from East to west. Those are hot dry winds and hold no moisture at all. The tiniest spark can start a fire- a lawnmower hits a rock, a weed eater same thing, electric hot wire in a pasture has a twig fall on it causing it to spark, a car traveling on a gravel road kicks up a rock that hits a larger Fock out in the dead grass. There are a million scenarios.

I grew in Mission Hills. In the 1970’s it was a beautiful community. It turn into a cesspool of lowlifes & gang members. I moved out of Mission Hills in 1977 & drove back through it in 1994. Wow I freaked out to see just how bad it had gotten with lowlife trash people. I don’t believe that they would really give a damn if a near freeway fire burned a few houses. Sad & Sick community...
