Remembered this masterpiece and still cant get over it and the fact that it was used as a prayer during our school assembly when i was in primary school till 3 - 4 th grade. Such a soulful song. My mum went to a private catholic school and she was taught by the nuns and all the kids had to beg their teacher to sing this for their school choir and with much effort the nuns let them sing it (just as long as they were singing it to god) and now she is 63 and has taught the song to me 😊 I am so grateful that my mum has taught me the best songs

Many wont remember this as being the theme song used for a Royal Navy documentary called Sailor back in the mid 70's. However, it was this song combined with that doco that made me join the Navy when I was 15, I had the best life in the Navy and would do it again in a heartbeat if I could. :)
