There's a reason why the Challenger has such a concave: To prevent wheelbites otherwise we wouldn't be able to add 105mm wheels. Does anyone know the space from the wheels to the deck on the Stoke?

From someone who have build a DIY board with almost the same spec as Challenger I would say the price is pretty fair for the board (my DIY board with Omakase deck and Xenith esc was a bit cheaper than Onsra Challenger)

Fantastic review as usual. I recognize this is probably apples and oranges, but from the standpoint of urban commuting on congested, pot-hole filled roads, it would be interesting to see a One Wheel Pint v. Onsra Challenger comparison.

Honestly I wouldn't compare them. Stoke is a powerfull toy with little range. Onsra has a big battery bigger in almost anything. Good quality video
@ryannelson79673 жыл бұрын
I think the stoke is more focused on being a light, short distance travel friendly board and the onsra being 12s2p is not able to travel but has more power and range like the boosted clones. Interesting comparison.

For the concave on the challenger I suggest wearing running sneakers. It makes it more comfortable rather than wearing skate sneakers which are flat.

The Tynee stinger has the perfect concave, dual 3000 watt x 2 motors for 6000 watts total mind you. It has a beautiful traditional yet not design. It has a 12s3p 544 wh battery which is insane. It has a 34mph top speed and the bushing/washer setup keeps it stable. And its 850bucks. And it comes with boosted 105 clones. No brainer.

trucks are fine, ESC and motors still perform like the original Black Carve, slow off the line but once it gets moving, its fast. For this type of board I don't feel like you need savage off the line performance.

@@johnglover4318 Same motors and battery as the M5 so very underwhelmed to be honest. M5 also uses a proper Vesc (Focbox Tenka) so it’s much more customisable regarding max speed and power vs the new Evolve. Expected a lot more for what they are charging. It’s very expensive for no reason 😔

@averageeskatereviews3 жыл бұрын
For this type of board, the combination worked fine. The board (like the first black carve) is a little slow off the line but once it gets going, its fast. We'll probably do a video on the Hadean but its basically a restricted version of our own M5 with a MUCH bigger price tag. Disappointed in the spec vs the price but we will feature so king of video later in the year if we get our hands on one.

@@averageeskatereviews Well, there is as you have pointed out many times the bits about support/spares and I think the Hadean has fairly impressive performance and features. I love every video you guys make. They are usually great, informative and unbiased. However, I will say I think you guys dropped the ball on this one. It seems strange to compare a board which is clearly made and advertised to be able to air-travel, with a board which is clearly not. The range, speed and acceleration differences can all be explained as the Stoke was designed around a travel format. Personally I would not buy the Onsra as I need a Stoke sized board for travelling.
