We have to do it different though or else the carpet will be completely ripped from under our feet. The mindset of watching everybody else business while theirs spoiling is some artistes problem. One last thing our identity crisis and the disowning of Africa is and will always be a stumbling block as it relates to moving to higher heights and reaching full potential. We have to unlearn the damaging narratives implanted in our brain as it relates to the Motherland and who we are ! Artists who do this will surely be surprised on the amount of revenue they will bring in.They can still work with their personal producers and release singles, but unity is never wrong. Top 4 things that are holding back Reggae & Dancehall today : 1. Lack of awareness in the music business which allows for a wider and bigger vision by Artists & Producers 2. The corruption and incompetence at the radio and club DJ level in Dancehall and Reggae 3. Lack of competent and capable managers, publicists and/or booking agents & promoters, media outlets who have integrity 4. Respect between the younger and the older generations for what each one of them brings to the table
