We have to dispel of the notion that the arts or trade is for students who aren’t “good in the traditional academic subjects”. Trade and arts should be for those students for who that is their interest no matter the level of their academic intellect. If we browse KZbin this week we will see hip hop artiste Jidenna doing the media rounds. When you check his back story he was accepted to both Harvard and Stanford, attended Stanford as a engineering major but later because of passion switched to the arts. Students should be encouraged to follow their passion and not be pushed in a direction that someone else desires for them. In order to execute this the programs should be available in the curriculum.
