I really like the unit-turning-into-attachment idea of the War Surgeon. It certainly reminds me of MtG or other card games and it feels great to see this mix of mechanics on a wargame. Well done Corvus Belli.

With a small sample you can't say much, but for now it looks good. I like, for example, that the Evoker provides command tokens, I'm a little surprised that the Wisemane doesn't, but he already commands with his company. Looking forward to seeing more profiles and data sheets. Above all to see how each faction searches for its niche. I am sincerely curious about how they are going to be treated depending on which factions.

I think this game would work just as well on a 2x2 mat with around 8-12 figures a side as the around 20 figures a side on a 3x3 mat. You could use a 2x2 mat for larger figure count if you utilize a reinforcement concept. I'm new to CB, but this game seems to have been in development for @ 2 years. Hopefully that results in a more balanced game than GW can put out. That elusive unicorn that GW can never quite reach. Though GW's Spearhead with a model count from less to more than Warcrow on an even smaller game mat . I think the crunchy level is a smidge high, but I appreciate the flexibility of effects which is desirable in a more narrative driven game. I've always though that 1D8 or 2D6 would work better than a single D6. Special D8 dice allows for yet another level of possible effects both martial and magical. I'm sold, I'm all in.

Still not sure if I have a unit of Bucklermen + War Surgeon and two of Bucklermen did the high five with their skulls to Orcs' axes.. Should I use the 3+ profile or 2- profile for Bucklermen + Character unit? 🤔

Does the card mention the # of models in a given unit? I get the availability component of bringing duplicates... but not sure where it shows the # of models in the unit? Mostly just curious if there is some icon or icons I'm not able to really appreciate from the screen shot!

Does defense against magic work the same as defense against normal attacks? Will there be a special episode about magic?

Actually I believe they’re diving into magic tomorrow. And it does work differently. IIRC you can dispel or attempt to block magic with your own magic users if close enough.
