Ontario Convenience Stores Can Now Sell Alcohol | Your Morning

As an American, it's weird hearing about convenience stores or grocery stores not selling alcohol, since it's just a common thing here.

From the States where this was made legal decades ago. The store degrades, the customers degrade, theft increases, violence in parking lot increases. Im not anti alcohol, I just saw how it affected our whole state.

Already selling in Québec since forever. I though it was weird the first time I try to find a place to buy beer in Ontario.

And started today, some crazy person can come in and rob the place. Easy hit. Yep the merchant will have to hire more people. The store will loose some of its merchandise to make room for the alcohol.dumb move. I will not set foot in one of those stores. To scary

disagree about LCBO going away as a retail entity. they will def lose some volume to the variety stores. but the stores aren't going to have the selection that the LCBO can offer.

Bro LCBO went on strike because they know their days are numbered. Ford is blabbing they will be the exclusive seller of spirits and the wholesaler for beer & wine but that is until the next election. He wants to privatize everything.😂😂

Ah yes the classic answer to addiction, "let's just tell them they're not allowed". How well did that work in the 20's and 30's? But nah, I'm sure it'll work this time 🙄
