I’m happy for you that $200 means nothing to you. There are others for whom it makes the difference between eating and not eating that amount in food. When you have experienced hunger you will understand that a week of food is a week of food, regardless of if you’re back where you were before the next month. It’s also one less phone bill, one minimum credit card payment, one pair of winter boots. Maybe check your privilege when you say those things are not worth having.

@ I did not think $200 dollars is a small change, I worked the whole week for that amount of money when I was young, my point here is Doug Ford is using the same money that he took from their pocket and giving it to them as it were his own . So cunning of the Conservatives , instead of putting those billions into education or healthcare, he is using it to buy votes from naive people, of course they have to keep them poor and uneducated so that the only thing they worry about is food and shelter so they will vote for the ones who appeared to give them some crumbs 😔. People are forgetting that Doug Ford took away the scholarship money for low income students in post secondary education, cut healthcare funding, eliminate car renewal license ( and who owns cars ? Not the one who needs $200 , obviously) . It’s so sad that people who live in his Constituency ate the hotdogs at Ford fest and vote for his family members . I hope the NDP , the Green Party members when they go canvassing spend a little time to explain to people instead of just throwing in flyers so people can see the true face of the Conservatives. I sincerely hope so . 👏👏
