Only get a credit card for the flyer points and only use it to delay payments of money earning interest in your savings account. It's not much but the interest earned will pay the annual fee and you'll get flyer points so it's a win...win

Retail sales figures out this week will ensure RBA won't cut interest rates any time soon! People do realise current high interest rates are not actually "high" and not a bad thing for everyone? 😮

This happens every year, they (the retailers) are at people, pushing them to buy, buy, buy things in the lead up to Christmas (including the ridiculous Black Friday sales rot), then there's the Boxing Day sales push at people, post-Christmas and then we find ourselves asking how or why people are constantly up to their eyeballs in credit card debt, seriously! It's like a dog constantly chasing it's tail. The big winners out of all of this are the retails shops themselves and the greedy banks and financial companies.
