First, I want to express my condolences to Mama Shredder. Its hard to loose a parent, no matter how old you are. I will include her in my prayers. Wow, this Ontario SP 53 Bolo is a beast of a chopper! Have you seen the woodchips flying? I like the Ontario SP Series a lot. Great, sturdy and well made knifes, made in the USA out of good materials like 1095 high carbon steel, but for a reasonable price. As a big fan of clip point blades, and Bowie knifes in particular, I like the SP 10 Raider Bowie the most. Man, its a beast of a modern outdoors and survival Bowie. You should try to get your hands on one. All the knifes of the SP Series do have exact the same handle, with the rubber finger guard, but the SP 10 has an additional metal cross guard between blade and rubber grip. The integrated fingerguard helps to prevent hot spots at the flat, square crossguard, and I like this a lot. It gives a good, save grip. I never have chopped through a 1 foot tree with a knife, because I believe in the hatchet when it comes to that diameter of wood, but I would recommend using light working gloves, if you want to do this anyway - until you are not a lumberjack with hands like vices with a skin like 400 grit sandpaper on buffalo hide. #22aday Stay safe everybody, and stay blessed. Now that is a knife ! Im just waiting on my custom S90V with carbon fiber shred mixed with orange wood burl handle knife b4 I send out that to you . I just dont know why I haven't gotten it yet , It was ordered from Slovocia but I got a USPS notification on Feb 9th that it got to NY and I havnt gotten any since . It just says in transit .

If you get the chance, give the Kershaw camp 10 a try. That’s what I carry when out in the sticks. It chops great as well as baton. It’s a beast as well.

The Preacher is 700 grams = 24 ounces which is perfect. A bench hammer is 16 ounces and a framing Hammer is 32 ounces. The Preacher is right in the middle at 24 ounces. Something I figured out. Take care of the hand tomorrow and don't get double blisters...#22aday

I really like that design but I have the Kabar cutless because I liked the sheath with the kabar better. I really like that the Ontario is 5160 , kinda hard to justify the 53 when the kabar is a beast an I have a Ontario kukri. Think you gotta work on the mitts by next month we wanna see some man hands. I’d tell you what works but we have young viewers that might read comments. Lol
