The defense has improved every year. The offense is stagnant need some fresh eyes on that side of the ball to take the next step.

Tough to overcome injured star players on offense. Williams was largely in effective against anOSU's superior Edge rushers.

2022 we had Worthy and Bijan. 2023 we had Worthy and Brooks. This year we had no star WR or RB. Next year we will have a more complete QB and most likely better WR and RB rooms. If the offense has problems next year, then yes we need fresh eyes. This year was just a result of personnel limitations

Sark plays for the explosive plays only. When we ran straight at them no counter we got 3-4 yards each time. Even when it works he goes away from it. We all know he won’t give up play calling but if he does this offense will take off for sure.
@Bones12x2Күн бұрын
Exactly, my brother and I complain about the same thing. He does it over and over. The run game wasn't actually bad. It was setting up manageable 2nd and 3rd downs
@ChimonyaКүн бұрын
Y'all are wrong. We ran the ball 29 times and got 58 yards. That's not working. And contrary to what y'all are saying, the counters worked, the wide zone did not, running straight at them did not. The only truly bad call Sark made was the toss at the goal line. He's still one of the best in the business at play calling. Who you going to get to replace him? Chip Kelly ain't leaving OSU.

When i was a child,my dad had a saying. "They or someone fumbled on the ten yard line". I knew it was bad. I didn't know how badly fumbling on the ten yard could be until this game.

The weird thing about that toss play was that, besides the fact that it should have never been called, is that OSU saw it coming and super obviously loaded up that side of the field. Even for me in my couch, that was an easy audible. So really, Quinn and Sarked pooped the bed on that one. 🤦🏻

@marcomendez5010Күн бұрын
How has the D Line stopped so many teams on 4th and short, but the O line also struggled on 4th and short? I hope Sark does a deep dive into this. Is it his play calling? His RBs? Is it Kyle Flood? Or is it even Torre Becton? You can be good enough to make the playoffs with that type of production, but you can't win the whole thing if you can't out physical defenses more times than not in the RedZone.

When has the O Line been bad on 4th and short? The play calling is bad on 4th and short. The defense gave up a short yardage TD against OSU.

Sark should continue designing great plays. But I would rather see someone else calling plays in-game. He overthinks it too much once he goes off script during the game but is much better when scripting because he is not over analyzing then. Instead, he’s just putting plays together to create a constant flow and just going down the list. If something is working in-game keep going to it over and over and over until they stop it but he refuses to do that because he seems to believe he needs to keep varying the plays.

Red Zone problems have been caused by poor OL play. If you can’t run it in from the 1 yard line, it’s on the OL. Against Washington, poor pass protection affected Quinn’s pass to Mitchell. Rod trying to put this on Sark is a poor evaluation.
@twofadesКүн бұрын
We didn’t even try to run it from the 1 with our starting RB. Why bring Gibson in and he hasn’t played all game? Wisner has shown he can get short yardage all year.
