I’m an Ohio State fan. I’ll preface my little rant with that. Listen, Quinn Ewers is a damn fine quarterback. I know Golden got injured there a bit and was out for a while so one of his weapons was out for a minute BUT my hat is off to that Texas team. Incredible defense you have there. Absolute class after the game as well. That’s was a damn fine college football game. It’s games like these that make us the fans that we are. I honestly put Jacks “strip 6” up there with Zeke’s “85 yards through the heart of the south” run. If that play doesn’t happen and Texas scores…..who knows 🤷🏻‍♂️ Excellent dialogue of the game, gentlemen. We’ll see you next year in Columbus.

Just starting this episode. I'm an OSU fan. I've been watching shows from the other teams to see how they talk and act. S/O to you guys for giving just analysis and being real. We know you're pulling for Texas of course as former players but you guys aren't being ridiculous homers. I watched your lead in show to the game a few days ago and although you picked TX to win you said it would be tough. I watched an Oregon show pre Rose Bowl and they acted like OSU was terrible. Then they didn't do a follow up show until more than a week after the game. You are stand up guys. Texas played tough. That was a great game and I was nervous. I'll be watching again before the first game to kick off next season between these two teams!!

OSU fan here. I like watching breakdowns from opposing teams' fans because it lets me learn more about the players on those teams than I will from an OSU-focused analysis. Texas has had a great run this year, and was extremely impressive on the field. I wanted to hear more about the players that were getting it done. This was exactly what I was looking for. I also really appreciate you giving Ewers his due. There has been a lot of toxicity on social media, but he never stopped grinding even with the defense in his face most of the game. How can Nick say Quinn was the best semifinal QB? This is where I think yall miss the mark on him. Any criticism gets taken as a shot at his legacy. We all know the talent is there. But just look at ND. Riley Leonard was easily the worst QB left but had enough heart to will his team to victory. Quinn has a more complete arsenal and the #1 defense and he still can’t get it done. Inaccurate throws and turnovers. Same as every game. It’s obviously not all his fault. The play calling was poor and the run game undeveloped. But this narrative of him not being entitled to having any blame is exactly why people can’t wait for Arch. Yall literally fuel the haters with this nonstop defense of him.

Texas gave their best effort. What us Buckeyes knew was our defense could keep Texas from scoring 20. Simply by two guys... Downs and Jack. OSU had too many costly penalties that put them behind the chains. A bad turnover. Texas made a great defensive play to get that interception. Having 3 starters out on the o line slowed us down for most of the year. Slowing down a few of our guys last night goes to show this a true team with a great culture. The Texas DC had a great game plan. I've loved your RB's all year long (all of them). Great backs. Your WR's are explosive, and those guys have made plays all year. The TE made 1 good play and acted like he was Gronk. Dude make the play and get back to the line of scrimmage.. run tempo. But pointing at Downs as tho you had 150yds rec was wild! Not giving Will his flowers is crazy. He took down a team he hadn't beat in 3 tries. The OSU defensive hasn't received a holding call in over 900 snaps! Jack Sawyer hasn't received a holding call in over a year and a half. But yet his Cotton Bowl patch is hanging on by a thread by the end of the game. JJ received triple coverage for most of the night. "Shutdown," lol that let Tate and Emeka get theirs. Great year Horns... but it's our Time!

Man it’s going to be sad to hang up my #3 jersey but man that 1st and goal killed me. Sark needs to stop getting cute with play designs on short yard situations . Just run the ball! I will say this. We made the final four with BACKUP RBS . I thought we would be a 8-9 win season when I heard about the injuries in camp, not going to lie. Successful season by far exceeding expectations. I thought Ewers looked good. WR drops hurt. He didn’t have a lot of time in the pocket. Can’t blame him for the sack, and the INT was in desperation mode. He played better than Howard, and made a lot of good reads. Pretty evenly matched teams, I think the better team won, but realistically, it was even with 2 minutes to go. It doesn’t feel any better because it was so close, but you guys should hold your head high. Hopefully Bucks blow ‘em out so that you guys can get some more respect for what you just did.

One call or one play can’t determine the outcome. There’s 60 minutes. That means there was more than 59 minutes to make one play meaningless. Bad calls happen. It’s frustrating and it’s part of the game.

I mean, Sawyer’s patch was ripped off from all of the holds. Also, don’t forget on your second scoring drive the no call from your WR with an illegal block in the back on third and long that opened up the first down. A lot of no calls / bad calls both ways. The unsportsmanlike was technically correct against Helm, but rough in the moment. The late hit call against OSU’s OL was terrible, he made contact before the whistle. Refs weren’t great. Both teams navigated it well.

Osu's dline has had 1 holding call go for them all season. Matter of fact OSU is dead last in the nation for having opponent penalties go their way. Look it up if you don't believe.
