OTF, thanks for being football therapist. If Texas is to get better, the program needs to look in the mirror first. And, understand that they’re not at the mountain top. I believe our main issue is mental. We lie to ourselves about how great we are, how good we play, and how bad the competition is. Georgia created some real doubt. That doubt is exactly what the team needs to focus on. Doubt can be transformed into confidence. It’s not that we lost the game, it’s the way it was lost that was jarring.

Give me a break… Georgia just played with way more intensity with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove… we didn’t. It’s hard to beat someone when you don’t match their intensity… not to mention they blitzed way more than they normally do and hadn’t showed that on film and Quinn played like trash.. Georgia was spotted 23 points cause of Quinn.. they had short fields all the first half. 23 of their 30 points were like 30 yard drives or less and most were way shorter than 30 yard fields.. Georgia only was able to drive the field for a score once and even that was kinda flukey cause on 3rd and 10 on their own 11 they had to run a trick play double reverse flee flicker to get a dude wide open… we can play better and match their intensity we can definitely beat them..

Under the circumstances it wouldn't have made a difference how many unsportsmanlike conducts we would've received. The interception was the small amount of hope we had left and it was stolen. Trash wasn't thrown because fans were trying to overturn the call. No one expected that to happen. Trash was thrown because in that moment the game was over on an absolute bullshit call. This happens every year, Ole Miss and Tennessee come to mind recently. As a graduate of the University I'm tired of hearing about sportsmanship. We're watching young adults turn their brains to mush for our entertainment but throwing trash is unacceptable? Get a grip. No one was being harmed or in danger. We're all in it to see our team win and have a good time. The refs and the SEC can get over whatever feelings they have about it.

Yep, Lot of facts here. Quinn has regressed, doesn't step up in the pocket, lost confidence in OL to step up at times. Lost patience, but there's a reason for that from the rush. Got out coached too. Ga was pissed and Smart and his staff had Texas figured for the most part. Wished Blue would have gotten more. He probably would have caught that pass Wisener dropped. Tx might as well get ready, as was said, "the book is out on Quinn", or the blueprint is out more (now) how to disrupt Tx offense, and it's a "copycat" league for sure.

Defense was fine. We are deducting points because Georgia dropped passes? So did we. Trev drops a big ball in 1st quarter. Does Georgia defense get a lower grade because of it? Texas would have been behind 35-0 if the defense hadn’t held Georgia to three field goals with ridiculous starting field position. In a game like this you don’t need to look for criticism which I believe is happening withe defense. Everyone can always play better but the defense played fine. I will take that every week.

Texas was missing receivers on throws, especially the deep ones, while UGA was hitting them in the hands most times and getting deflected which caused most of the INTs. Texas got whipped on the lines, especially Georgia’s DL vs Texas OL. However, if you look at the box score, the total yardage is actually pretty even. I'm a UGA fan. Really enjoyed this discussion and appreciate you guys pointing the officiating was atrocious. UGA got the win so I'm glad they overturned it, but that was insane and clearly something should be investigated. I also thought the reviews were bizarre and went for Texas. UGA needing to get the 4th down TD came because they didn't overturn what was very clearly a TD before that. Then the RB got the first that would have iced the game then got stopped on 4th. It honest to God felt like a high school game where the home clock operator and operation is doing everything they can to give their team the edge. I am not saying someone was rigging it for texas (obviously), but it was so bizarre had UGA lost...you would have had a huge scandal.

Quinn is not stepping up into the pocket like he did in the first couple of games this season. He hasnt looked like the same Quinn since the injury. And to be honest, Arch looks to be about the same level as post-injury Quinn right now as well. Quinn has looked timid and is too scared to throw over the middle, and I dont think I have seen Quinn hit a deep pass in stride all season. That throw to Golden last night was underthrown and he made an incredible adjustment to catch it. Herbstreit claimed during the game that the fans doing that bought time for the 6 refs to do something they almost never do which is review and reverse a non-reversible call on the field. Go watch it again and note what he said. The reversal of a penalty call after they’ve enforced the penalty, placed the ball and marked it ready for play and there was no on-field formal review, Bobby said he has never seen that happen in 40 years. It took a little time, time that wouldn’t have been there if the game had gone on and not been delayed by the 100+ bottles. Not arguing for that kind of precedent! But the strange fact is it provided the time that led to that reversal.

And they were able to take away the quick throws to the outside because they know Ewers has trouble on deep passes. That's another reason Arch would have been better for this game, not only does his mobility have to come into play but also his ability to throw the deep pass gives the defense something else to worry about. Smart knew what he was going to do before he did it. Sark just needs to figure out when to dial up keystone cop like plays, and simple smash mouth plays. A defense like Georgia goes down with rollouts, screens and a downhill running game with a lead blocker out of the backfield. The good news is sark will figure it out , probably like not what I said cuz that's too easy, but he'll figure a long way around. Quinn was not stepping diagonally into the space vacated by the wide nine rusher being pushed up field by the tackle. Quinn would just stand there at the mark the rusher is aiming for. Quinn has slow feet, slow reaction time, terrible pocket presence, and just doesn’t feel the rhythm of the pressure. Quinn did not help his tackles out.

The right side got exposed big time. But quinn had chances to erase that by stepping up and hitting throws. Those 2 misses to wingo are huge. If he hits those in stride that's 2 tds and a whole different game. I dont think quinn is it. Sark should have left Arch in. He's more mobile. But the drop by wisner on first drive was killer too. Drops?? They had like 2 or 3 drops and SO DID WE?? Our drops were more detrimental than Georgia’s? If wisner doesn’t drop his pass, there is nothing but green grass in front of him and it’s possibly a TD… if Quinn throws the ball in front of wingo it’s a TD cause he had his man beat and it was just a PI.. and it wasn’t a drop but if wingo just doesn’t fall down after making that catch no telling if that turns into a TD.. it was at the very least a first down if he stays on his feet..

I'm highly disappointed in Texas' offense; it's not that we're an offense that can't execute-that's not in Texas' DNA, last season or this season. We all know Texas has wide receivers that can make plays, tight ends that can make plays, and a quarterback that should make plays. So what the heck happened last night? I don't understand. Was it Sark's fault for not changing and adjusting his game plans? Sark really dropped the ball. We know Sark to overthink it, just like in the OU game we lost last season. Wasn't going to outmatch Georgia physically. Wisner's drop was a momentum changer but no real adjustments by Sark to shift the momentum back to Texas. Sark needs to establish a run game to be successful in the passing game. Sark doesn't know how to establish a passing game to open up the run game.
