Iona…what a remarkable course and incredible video. The way you approach “chasing the red” with the camera walking with you, telling stories, gives the feeling like your playing with an old friend and we are right there with you, or even that we are that old friend. It’s a unique feeling that I don’t get from other videos that I enjoy. I would venture to say it’s because you put yourself into these videos in the most humble and authentic way. It makes for a wonderful experience…so Thank You! You spoke early in the video about how the girls on the LPGA tour inspire you, and this compelled me to tell you that you inspire me. I have pushed through wrist injuries and shoulder issues for the last 5 years, and its required medical procedures, lots of therapy, tons of practice and tinkering, and ultimately I had to change my swing and the way I play the game. I am happy to say that with all the work on the issues, and working on my overall health much more thoughtfully, that I am back to a single digit handicap. Watching you inspires me greatly to continue that work…and of course it helps to see you play some of the most beautiful and awe inspiring golf courses, some which have made my own bucket list. This round was really enjoyable to watch…thank you for sharing it with all of us.

Wow! The Iona "chasing the red" video is pure golfing inspiration! As a Dutch golf enthusiast exploring the hallowed grounds of Scotland, this video hit me right in the heart. Iona's infectious enthusiasm leaps off the screen, igniting a fire in my golfing soul. Picture this: I'm standing here in the home of golf, the legendary Dumbarnie course tantalizing close. Sure, it's a bit beyond my foreign wallet's reach, but Iona's passion in the video more than makes up for it. Her energy is like a perfect drive - powerful, precise, and absolutely thrilling. I can already feel it fueling my swing on my next Scottish round, wherever that may be. Dan Grieve's videos? They're like finding the sweet spot on every shot. And that Brad Faxon putting masterclass? Pure gold for any golfer looking to shave strokes off their game. To the brilliant minds behind this content: you're not just making videos, you're crafting golfing dreams. Keep that creative club swinging! I'm eagerly awaiting your monthly newsletter like it's tee time on the Old Course. This isn't just content; it's a portal to golfing paradise. Even when I'm back in the Netherlands, these videos will keep the spirit of Scottish golf alive in my heart. Fore!

There are some amazing inexpensive courses. Nairn Dunbar, Tain, Brora for example. Inverness is only about €50, and a great inland challenge, with fabulous greens.

... The Old is special as you head back towards the town. But The New Course at St Andrews is a brilliant experience, better imo, and a fraction of the cost. Would like to play The Jubillee Course. Dan G's stuff is good. I like James Ridyard, who has done vids with Brad Faxon.

Hi Iona I've just got back from Scotland & catching up on your episodes, keep enjoying your journey, it's infectious.. We watched the ladies at St Andrews (Thursday) & played around that, finishing at Crail. To say it was magical isn't quite enough to explain Crail, it blew 30-40 mph & gave us the ultimate links challenge! We drove passed Dumbarnie several times, is it that good, because £300.00 is steep..😡

So great to see you back. Your love and passion for this crazy game is really a joy to watch. You asked what would be helpful to see - my biggest struggle these days is shots to the green from about 60-50 yards out. For me that’s my gap wedge and I am pretty sure that club hates me. 🤦‍♀️

Iona, thanks so much for your great content. Your comfort and confidence not just with the golf game but also with your free commentary before the camera is remarkable. You are doing what you were designed by your Maker to do, and it’s a joy to watch. The segment with Dan Grieve was a revelation, I promptly went out and bought his book. I’m a 66 yo retired guy really playing the game and getting proper instruction for the first time. Breaking years of self-taught habit is a challenge. Could you consider a segment on equipment recommendations for high handicappers? If not on this channel perhaps in one of Titleist’s commercial channels or their website. Thx.

Love Chasing the Red! Thanks for keeping it real and relatable. I was fortunate to be in Scotland last week for a ton of golf and very much enjoyed Dumbarnie. Can’t believe it’s only been there for four years (great design as it looks like it has been there for quite a bit longer). Appreciated your commentary on hole strategy and comparing back to how I (should have) played each hole. Funny enough, like you I just put a GT3 in the bag from a TSR3 as well and used it for the first time in Scotland. Keep the great content coming!

Hi Iona another great episode of chasing the red. I too was at the AIG women’s open at St Andrews and was inspired by what I saw. I also saw you working on the course. I think my game is improving and I headed to my homeland of Scotland from Dorset where I live on the back of my first ever win in a golf comp….. my club knock out match play singles over 9 holes, and I had to play a bloke in the final. I was 2 down after 6 but managed to win the next 3 holes to clinch the win on the 9th. I am still in disbelief I managed this. From what I learn from your videos and especially what I saw at St Andrews I am determined to continue to work on my game to hopefully bring down my handicap, also with the help of Fern my club pro. Thanks Fiona

Looks a beautiful course, and with decent weather a delight to play. I play one of the windiest golf courses in the UK, but it is In an area where it rarely rains, when you add rain to wind, it becomes a battle.
