Good skill to know definitely won’t be using it when I’m hiding from my mom if she wants me to make the bed 👀

Excellent video! I love ❤ your channel and I advertise it HOWEVER..... Some advice. 🧐 1) Talk more. Your chosen location had a lot more info than you talked about. 2) Use both of you more. There are thousands of people doing this but none of them have Alan. Your wit and entertainment combined with this knowledge puts you far above 99% of other channels. Don't throw that away. You had just a hint of humor. Alan talking in the background with his ADHD pithy bizarr-osity would have multiplied the content 10xs. 3) Get ready to blow it up so stay humble.... and keep it coming! 🎈🥳🎈

Definitely more than one way to make a Dakota fire pit, way to think out of the box man, well done! Also place looks exactly like where I took a class up there…and if there’s a big open field at the bottom of the hill I’ve been to that tree hahaha, if so that’s awesome and thanks for the memories!

Your best bet is to not even use a fire but if you absolutely have to then do it in daylight only. If it’s cold then use the fire right before sundown then cover it and sleep over where you made your fire. It’ll help keep you warm for hours.

But how do you stop the smell of the smoke or burning wood?

You don’t. But you can strategically position yourself based on wind conditions to minimize anyone picking up on it.

Shoving dirt on top of a fire could start a forest fire. I like the drown, stir, feel, repeat method taught by the rangers.
