This one on top of his other tear jerker a couple days ago, I don't know how much more my eyes can take. Seeing Judge Lockwood in so many sad cases somehow get through them without tearing up and him being unable to hold back here, really makes it hit hard how much he cares. Watching all the attorneys reaction to it, its like theyre seeing their dad cry and was so touching. Then Mr Keating jumping in....😭

So many tears, mine included. Tears of happiness for this child the Bennett's as well as Mr Williams, his sister and their family. Tears of sadness for the birth mother and her ongoing problems. As a fellow Texan, I wish everyone well. The child protection system is very well served by Judge Lockwood.

This whole hearing just made my heart warm. Although mom isn’t in her life she has such an amazing village of people that love and care about her and are rallying around her to make sure she has a wonderful life. Dad making efforts to be in her life and play an active roll, the awesome foster parents, the caring lawyers.. so heartwarming. Oh and we can’t forget that phenomenal and empathetic judge. I mean wow, you couldn’t pick a better judge if you tried❣️

I’m so glad the algorithm fed me this video this morning. What a beautiful family! As a disabled person who wouldn’t be able to care for a child on my own, I’m touched by their-not just willingness, but EAGERNESS to keep Dad in daughter’s life and honor him and his role by giving his daughter his surname, and in turn, Dad’s eagerness to give his daughter the Bennett’s name as her middle name. How wonderful for this child to be loved by so many who have her best interest at heart. ♥️

That was a big tear jerker for all the right reasons. Judge Lockwood showed compassion. His ruling was fair and was the best for the child without totally giving up hope for the biological mom. It really takes a village such as this whole team of amazing people to help raise this child to have a great future.

This is the sweetest most heartwarming child custody case I've seen in a long time where all the parties are acting like adults with the child's best interest, the father just wants to see his baby don t just wants to see her niece and the foster parents just want to keep that child happy and safe oh my goodness is so sweet and I'm not crying you crying

Ms Siemens children are all adults. She was approved to take her niece but realized that this family loved her and they were a better placement. I believe that is an amazing sacrifice and awesome she gets to be the “Aunt”. She has helped to facilitate visits with her brother so he can keep visiting his child despite his disabilities. I do feel sad that the mom doesn’t have the same support and is just not capable because of her disabilities and drug use. 😢

I went back and looked at everyone individually to see their reaction when I the Judge was getting choked up. Crocker had to turn his camera off because he was also getting emotional So sweet. The name change is adorable especially that moms lawyer suggested it.

Mom's attorney seems like she is making the best case for moms rights to be terminated. I don't understand what her role is but I was thinking it may speak to what exactly mom wants and is self aware of. Obviously it's a sad situation but I also think this is a truly one of family, Joy, love understanding, and sacrifice. Some children are not this fortunate to have this many people caring about what happens to them

Mom's attorney is an amazing lady. She lives in that town, knows everyone. There is not a better advocate to have than her. Her heart is as big as TX. She will put it all on the line to help her client. She just knows that it's in the child's best interest to not have visits with this child. Legally to keep it from being appealed she has to say she disagrees with that. I've watched her for a few years now, and some stuff she has done has brought me to tears many many times. There isn't a better group of people to assist someone who loses their child to cps than this whole group. Judge Lockwood, Ms Blythewood, Ms Holier, Mr Keating is a gem too. Even the cps attorney is great along with all caseworker I usually see. Ms Blythewood had a boy that she had been his guardian ad litem since he was a little boy. He grew into a big over 6ft 15 yr old. His foster mom had to call the police on him because she took his video game and he threw a big Ole tantrum. Tore stuff up and threatened her. He went to jail. Cps doesn't pay bail for these kids. They make them sit until court. Ms Blythewood, didn't want that to happen. She had been talking to him cuz he called her from jail. He was terrified and sorry for what he did. The foster home would not take him back, all they could do was put him in a facility or leave him in jail and see what happens. Ms Blythewood didn't want that to happen. She wanted to be his foster and they couldn't let her due to conflict of interest. They took a break, she called her daughter who lived on her same street and she was going to be placement for the boy. Judge Lockwood let it happen, I wasn't sure he was going to. I haven't seen an update, but I have prayed he's doing well.

OMG!! I was literally just thinking about that case when I saw her in this case! I remember she said she wanted to be his grandma, and she asked to be discharged as his ad liem and to appoint someone else to him so she wouldn't be in conflict. It broke my heart. I have been praying he went with her family ever since then, but have not seen or heard an update since then.

I watched a prior hearing for them last year sometime. This is not the outcome I was expecting at all. I'm pleasantly surprised. When this case started, Mr Williams didn't know he had a child. He's much older than the mom. He lives with his elderly mom. The child's mom is in bad shape, drugs, mentally, the works. Not a clue one how to begin to take care of herself, certainly not a child either. Dad says at some point she called and told him she was pregnant and it might be his, then said it wasn't his. Then the judge ordered DNA then visits. The Bennetts have had her I believe since she left the hospital. She was just a year old when I watched. Maybe 14 or 16 months old. Dad wanted the baby placed with his adult 21 yr old daughter. Thats when the Bennetts became intervieners VS just foster placement. When the trial was going on, it comes out that the adult daughter he wanted as placement, had 2 kids already, one being same age as little Taylor the other under 3, and due back in Dec I believe it was with another baby. Living with a boyfriend that she wasn't with for very long. He worked, she stayed home. He had no job stability nor did she. They basically lived on government assistance. So she was going to have 4 kids under 3. 2 bedrooms in the rental home. They hadn't been there long. Then when Mr Bennett got on the stand, he busts out with they should not have Taylor because they not only didn't know her, but, they were not married, he's a pastor and doesn't agree with shacking up and having kids out of wedlock and that's not how Taylor deserved to be raised. Mrs Bennett agreed with him. Then judge Lockwood wasn't very pleased with any of that. Ordered cps to find new placement of a family member and complete the home study on the adult daughter. And allow visits for her as well. CPS was wanting the Bennetts to keep her and it was all a mess. I can't remember what all the inappropriate behavior was of Helen Keys, but it was a lot. The Bennetts sounded great on paper, until they spoke, then I thought they screwed it up for good. I didn't ever think the judge would move the baby to the adult sister as she could not take care of all those kids. Her boyfriend had a kid he didn't have rights to, along with a criminal background of some sort. I have waited on this case to see what happened eventually. Had it in my calendar to watch and missed it. I'm so happy it got played
