Happen to bump into your channel while searching for tyres for my Himalayan. Now everyday I am watching the workshop videos and your channel is no less than HDT customs. I wish l could bring my bike to you and get it serviced😁 I have my own ride and lifestyle channel, mind showing some support? If so, are you open for a collab ride or a video? Thanks again for your the Himalayan gyan.

Hi Ben If the bearings need to be changed on the drag link How do you get the old bearings out please Looks like you take dust seals out and knock them out like a wheel bearing Hit them with a bar from the inside Any help please
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN Жыл бұрын
i have no experience in the same . i have never really had to replace the bearings on the dogbones. i just degrease and regrease them .
@aviewfromthesaddle4160 Жыл бұрын
Tap them out with a punch working around the bearing to drive it out square, or better yet use a blind bearing puller, if you have access to one. If you don't have access to a press to install the new ones, you can use washers and nuts with threaded rod to make an installation tool.
@rajendrathapamagar56943 жыл бұрын
Sir If bearing are damage do RE provids bearing or we have to by hole link.
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN3 жыл бұрын
Not sure . But I believe they don’t . You will have to get bearings from other manufacturers and match it to RE.

Ben, i am curious how you opted for a lithium based grease vs a synthetic like the Mobile 1 red or some other type since you have been in the industry. Are they not better at not drying out and resisting water contamination in this non sealed bearing? I am interested in your thought process.
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN3 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, i am not an expert in the subject. Whatever experience i have with lithium complex grease has been nothing short of excellent . Also they come a little cheaper than synthetic grease.

Hello ben I am having strange issue i think only you can guide me. I have replaced the old rear suspension on last month because previous suspension was not rebonding. Now thst i got new suspension from re service centre it is behaving the same .once you push it at back it is not rebonding properly.very slowly it moves up.feels its very soft and while riding very small pathholes also make feel big jerks at back. What could be the issue ?what shall i tell them ? Please guide me ... I have shown it to some garage the guy said that the new suspension is not having rebounding at all. Its in stock setting
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN2 жыл бұрын
Brand new suspension behaves like that . It rebounds a little slowly compared to old . Also this is not soft , but hard . That is why you feel all the pot holes . Adjust it to the softest setting ( counter clockwise on the preload adjuster) .
@vikaspatel19872 жыл бұрын
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN whats the best settings for rider alone and with pillion.. weight 75 rider pillion 76.. please suggest. Also where i can get c spanner for it.. the service center guy was doing with screwdriver and hammer..
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN2 жыл бұрын
@@vikaspatel1987 there is a lot more to it than that . There no such thing as a setting that is permanent for a certain weight . With time the suspension gets softer and softer and every time you adjust it to the right point ( Setting SAG) . will make a video on this soon.

Hi, ben I am from Mumbai. I bought my Himalayan 3 months ago. My rear suspension was soft in the beginning. But it got so hard now that I can feel every tiny bump. Showed it at athe service centre.When suspension is compressed, it doesn't come back to its normal position. But they adjusted the preload. Suspension is now returning to its position but the ride quality is not good as in the beginning. Any ideas?
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN3 жыл бұрын
adjust the preload to the softest setting possible and ride and see. and then work your way from there for the correct SAG.

Sir , I have unplugged Evaporation pipe from Evaporation chamber ( due to constant over pressure inside tank) . will this harm the bike ???
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN3 жыл бұрын
Yes it will unless you plug the throttle body hose with a 6 mm bolt. Also , leave the hose from the tank to run straight to the bottom along with the overflow drain hose ( same length , same routing)
@DatG-sx1co3 жыл бұрын
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN OK will plug it back as you suggested even though it has not made any noticeble issue as of now.

Is there a remedy for the constant over pressure in tank sir??? Once I blew air with my mouth on that Eva pipe and I realized it blocked inside that tiny 2 inch eva system which is right under the bash plate( where the eva pipe from the tank gets connect). My question is should the air flow free or should not ?

Hello sir , my himalayan makes a very bad squeak from the rear suspension area , the guys at the service centre lube the suspension linkage and the noise goes away for a short amount of time for about 10- 15 days of riding . After which the noise slowly starts coming back again , also the rear shock feels very stiff , the rebound is very slow. What can be done?
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN2 жыл бұрын
Lube your swingarm pivot bearings and caps ( place where swingarm connects to the chassis ) . Also turn the preload adjuster counter clockwise on the rear shock 3-4 steps )
