While this hymn was removed from the blue Presbyterian hymnal, as organist in my small church, I make sure we sing this from time to time -- although not often enough to suit some of the members. It's my favorite, my family's favorite, and my church family's favorite. This is how it should be played; this is how it should be sung, and this is the kind of organ I wish we had at my church, to do this fabulous hymn due justice. Beautiful job. From D to Bb - now that's some modulation! What a truly glorious organ and played with consummate skill. One cannot but be lifted unto the throne of God by such music. Arthur Sullivan would have been amazed and delighted that his hymn tune had received so magnificent a rendition; he was, after all, no mean organist himself. Matt 26:11 What do you think Moses thought of the elaborate tabernacle, or Solomon, when he built the temple, which was blessed and sanctified by God as HIS house? Our place of worship should reflect the God we worship, as should the music and instruments. Simplistic buildings and worship in the name of the budget is God-dishonouring. All should be done within our means which God has blessed us with to glorify Him in worship.

This was one of the most awesome churches in this country, right along with the Crystal Cathedral but it went down just like Coral Presbyterian because of the a-holes who condemned something they had no idea about. Poor little Samuel is at some small church now and the Crystal Cathedral probably has a couple of hundred worshippers, if that many. So sad.

My question why is their not One young Lady or young Man in that Choir?. they are like middle aged or elderly looking Is it Maybe the young generation weren't interested I'm just Guessing
