Quick tip for quest users: when throwing nades, keep your hands within camera view so they dont just teleport around

That reloading trick is genius, I did not know you always automatically grab the clip with the most round still in it, thanks for that, when I was in the military I learned to keep both eyes open while shooting, and if you get used to shooting that way you can superimpose your target with one eye and keep your peripheral with your other, keeping both eyes open is an actual military tactic, and you are right with it becoming more difficult the more powerful your scope is but it still can be done with enough practice, but it's also just easier to keep both eyes open

For the AKs you can tilt the gun to the sky, flick the mag out upwards, insert the new one and catch the old one on the way down

I've been playing about 2 weeks and learned a lot of this from experience. It's a great video to not have to do what I did. Some of this feel natural for me luckly. The reload thing I think isn't something I really care to use myself. I can see it used by some though. I personally let me mag drop to the ground and put a fresh one in. I also tend to reload more then most from what I've seen. I always make sure I have enough ammo to spare after a fire fight. The tablet hack thing I will be using and didn't know. Awesome!

If you reload often you need to return mags with extra ammo into your pouch. Otherwise you're throwing it on the ground

To add onto speed reloads, some of the big guns have automatic slide locks like the handguns. Once the last bullet is fired the bolt is caught open, and by pressing the bolt release button instead of manually charging the gun, you shave a few milliseconds. Most marsoc automatic weapons act like that. Even that one bullpup LMG

Oh yeah the game kinda died cause the devs sold out to meta. They down graded a lot and overall just don’t do much. They did a recent update but, they killed the player base

playerbase only flopped on the pc side. the meta acquisition was the best decision DPI could've made; onward's playercount before that was dangerously low. sacrifices were made, and the poor devs are working hard to retrieve its former glory

I believe the throwing bit in the start is more due to tracking loss then accuracy. any shooter ive played with a Q2 always felt off when throwing nades since to throw normally you would have to put your hand behind your head. On my index I never had that problem. Basically just depends on the HMD you use. atleast from my tests.

this is the case, yes. it loses tracking if you go too far back, which of course causes throwing inaccuracy. underhanding it doesnt have this issue, which overall makes it more efficient in cases where you need smoke close, overhanding is still a good way to go tho

VR tracking can get fucked up on the Quest especially because it relies on telemetry to determine the location of the controllers since the frontal sensors are unable to pick up the IR signal from the handhelds. It helps if you under hand grenades with a lot of acceleration at the end to pitch it far, if your hands are in front of your headset on the Quest it’ll certainly help. Full-body tracking with bases in each corner of your room is perfect but insanely pricey.

I just wanna know something about hacking tablets, 1 does the persons tablet you hack have to be on Volk team 2 do you have to get them with a taser or can you just kill them and they’ll drop the tablet Thanks for any answer as I’m curious as I can’t test it because I don’t have onward yet.

the person has to be on volk yes, you only get the taser on marsoc team yes it has to be a taser, a normal kill or down won't bring up the screen

Pointing with your offhand has a decent success rate when aiming grenades.

I think part of the problem you have with throwing overhanded is that you hold it behind your head for way too long, which causes your hand to lose tracking, and your throw to be less accurate. And as with anything, practice makes perfect, so you can use whatever technique you want, as long as you practice with that technique.

I dont close any eyes when i snipe long distances and have no trouble. 2 reasons, when i close and eye its very difficult as it moves the headset around, 2 i dont find it helps but only hurts my shot. maybe because its a learned habbit but idk. on the new range i can constantly hit max range targets with little difficultly and closing one eye makes them very unvisable

You can reload the RPG in a multiplayer match if someone else gives you rockets!! Also if someone is using an lmg that comes with drum mags, they can give you one to load into your own gun (I think it only works with 5.56 guns)

For sniping you can have two eyes open but you will have to get use to focusing on the sights

I personally use 2 eyes open with snipers so that I can see both through the sniper scope and the area that the sniper scope blocks, instead of picking up your entire head to scan for targets. This makes it way easier to snap to targets without re-adjusting much.
