As a Floridian this is so hysterically funny. When you linve it all the time its just the "norm" no matter how crazy. It funny when someone who is not used to it points it out. Enjoy the locals, including the gators and no-see-ums lol.

We are a fulltime sailing family of 5 who bounce in and out of Florida. We spent last hurricane season in the Dominican Republic and are currently in Guatemala. We usually stay in the Keys but have stayed in Jacksonville. We sailed down from NY and have no desire to move back to snowy winters. I can say Florida has a lot to offer for family fun and not everything is expensive

Viper max Highly concentrated solution take 2 packets mixed in a gallon of water put some of that in a spray bottle spray down your entire RV on the outside spray around all the corners on the inside and even take a little bit of the stuff and pour it over your roof I have so recommend cleaning mopping your floors and wiping down your surfaces with a mixture of vinegar alcohol peppermint based soap a little peppermint oil mixed with detergent and I have found a 95% improvement in my past reduction doing these things

Love your videos & travels! Hey, for FL mosquitos & no-see-ums & probably flies, get a Thermocell at Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot... They have them for hunters, hikers & as a lantern for a picnic table. It uses butane to heat up a pad thats saturated in some kind of repellent and works fantastic in a 15 foot radius!! Good luck & happy travels!!

If there is no sewer hook ups and the place is cool with it, as some places are, barely crack your grey tank (only you gray tank obviously NOT your black tank) to a slow to moderate drip. It will slowly drain itself over night and absorb into Florida’s dry soil and your gray tank will be empty in the morning. This is the best tip I have ever received from other RVers. You can loosen your outside cap and even leave it on and it will still drip. Use environmentally friendly soaps (dawn and homemade soap with natural products only) if you do this. It’s basically like garden hose water. You can stay on site longer and make fewer trips to the dump station. You can also take showers in your RV. You can do this with us in Florida...in California they may put you in Rv jail b/c you’ve broken 6 or 8 laws or local ordinances. That’s what I love about Florida...freedom , love and wearing flip flops anywhere. Take care love your vids see you out there. PS my daughters name is Olivia too

We agree with others - Thermocell for the bugs + bug spray and they will leave you alone. Others swear by Skin So Soft but I haven't tried it. But if you're coming back to Florida next year, you MUST come to our stomping grounds, the Forgotten Coast. It's old Florida and is still really natural. St George Island and St Joseph Peninsula are our favorites for beach camping, though the latter is currently under construction. Happy camping!

100% on keeping your AC on 95% of the time...or you'll have mold growing everywhere! I live in Florida permanently. End of October to end of February is paradise...rest of the year you have to deal with heat, humidity,, and possible hurricane. Also, you'll need to live within 2 blocks from the water front...or else air does not move and you will feel like being steamed alive.

Just saw this video. My husband and I never get bit by mosquitos, no see us, etc. My husband and I have not been bitten by mosquitoes in 20 plus years. We take B Complex every day and have done so since 1999. It reacts with your body chemistry and makes you emit an odor that is unattractive to mosquitoes. The odor is not something that is detectable to most humans.

Even as a resident of Florida for 10 years, I still very much enjoy your series!!! As a side note - Nathan, you should get yourself colorful shirts!!! No-one wears black in the sun here! Get yourself some flamingos, seafood, pelicans, palms t-shirts and more flip-flops! Also, don't forget about Reef Friendly sunscreens to save the turtles. Loving your adventures. Maybe our paths will cross one day too (also FT RV-ers). Get some Bogo fruits from Publix and cut up ahead of time for the beach time. Mangos.... and Melons are yam! Get on some Pirate ships (drinks included, usually) or Catamarans! Stores like Five n Below, Dollar tree, Burlington will have everything you need beach wise. April to October are the toughest months really... It's so hot! Once the temps drop (around oct/nov), go to Bush Gardens in Tampa, Sea world, Universal or Disney. Those line are not existent plus the weather is amazing.
