Personally, I think you ladies did an amazing job. We don't live in early 1900's, nor do we live in the 70's, 80's or 90's. So of course you young women don't dress and act like they did back then. People and things CHANGE. I completely understand the concept but I don't feel that this routine has brought any kind of negative attention to this organization. Great job again ladies :)

I wasn't in a sorority in college, however I think this is amazing!!! I'm sure these talented young women are involved in various aspects of their sorority and community that transcend beyond dancing and performing. Also, I'm so over our community being so critical of each other. Art is art! It may look a little different then a sorority performance in the 90's, but it doesn't negate the fact that these girls are talented and encompassed tradition with current music and choreography.

There's an interesting dichotomy that occurs with fraternities and sororities. For the good we do, we also must cater to our particular demographics. In this particular instance, the dancing is to entertain, which in turn provides bragging rights/exposure, which brings more interest, which allows for a greater pool of new applicants. It's a give/take relationship, and not everyone will understand it, but it's the norm in our world. You don't get it because you're not in it.

I saw stepping, dancing, and strolling incorporated in this routine and nothing trashy about it. Wouldn't be surprised if this showed up step shows abroad. I say embrace the change.

VERY good point and it's duly noted on my end. I was an elite collegiate and pro athlete, so my sorority was in essence was my team. Our coach always told us, "Perception is EVERYTHING!",ESPN won't grace us often, so we took care that our public images were in high esteem b/c we represented ppl besides ourselves. Is it fair to judge on a 'snap shot'? No. But in my experience and in this case, a snap shot is all we see.And again, your own soros are split as to the "class" of this vid,just sayin.

As a matter of fact, this video came to me in one of my sororities listervs as being a questionable representation. If you are an Alpha woman your comments and acceptance mean more in accordance with perpetuating this type of image.
