Yes you can add water to blend it when it becomes too thick for your blended since you are going to be cooking it until the water is evaporated. Just know the more water the more you have to boil it off which may consume more gas

I bought a pack of almond nut..I followed your method but I couldn't get the oil out as it was very small. I added sunflower oil to infused the almond for 24hrs as I couldn't throw it away. Not sure we buy the original almond oil from the market as it is very expensive and the sellers cannot make profit.

The yield is not much. Industrial process may increase the yield a little more than this but around 40%. Like you said, there may be some other oil that may be mixed with it to increase the volume, hence commercial almond oil may not be pure. Homemade is always better if it can be made.

No, it's sweet almonds you need, they are edible and safe both skin and cooking. If you're to use bitter almonds, you will have to bleach the oil first because they are poisonous. The bleaching process can't be done at home, it's an industrial process. Hope this helps?
