Love your work on this, I am starting a new loft layout that will probably end up very similar apart from my raised line being a heritage line. Thanks for the inspiration I think seeing some of the steps you have taken and errors you've corrected will really help me to develop my ideas.

Glad it's been of use to you. I've been on some steep learning curves! Making mistakes is part of it I guess. I'd probably do a few things differently but I'm generally happy with how it's turning out. Good luck with your layout. Regards Yorkshire Junction 🚂

Thanks much appreciated 👍 I should probably finish the 1st and 2nd levels before starting the 3rd but I'll probably get carried away and just go for it! Regards Yorkshire Junction 🚂

Why is it every time I look at some one else's layout I wish I had thought of that before I started mine. A bit like looking at some one else's meal in a restaurant. Also excellent music, where did the years go? and good music too !

Love the layout, why not go digital and forget isolating tracks,so much easier. Hornby express points would sort out crossover derailment, kind regards Rob
@yorkshirejunction17343 жыл бұрын
Hi Rob thanks for the comment much appreciated. I'd always ruled digital out due to the expense plus absolutely no experience with it. When I was a lad it was DC so when I took it up again it was the only thing I considered. However I recently got a job lot bundle with some DCC equipment so having a look into it. Also considering having a look into the new Hornby Bluetooth control set-up for future expansion. On the express points I have recently acquired some so will put it to the test and may change them👍 Regards Yorkshire Junction 🚂

Getting better and better. I had to go back over my layout and isolate every 'facing point' as you have done especially due to the type of controller I use. The temptation to 'build further out' never goes away does it?
@yorkshirejunction17343 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comments. 😂😂 i agree the temptation to build out further is always there. If there's space I should use it after all more track = more locos 🚂😁. I've got plenty of ideas but need to put a few things in place before I expand. All the best Yorkshire Junction 🚂

On your "problematic" crossover have you thought about using larger radius points if taking them at higher speeds is your wish?
@yorkshirejunction17343 жыл бұрын
Hi there thanks for the tip👍 I've recently got some and think I will be using them for crossovers in the future. I presume they'll allow for a smoother transition although I've not tested it personally yet. Regards Yorkshire Junction 🚂

Would look better if you'd have used longer pointwork imho. That pendalino doesnt look good going over those small points.
@yorkshirejunction17343 жыл бұрын
Hi there, Thanks for the comment much appreciated. I think you're right the longer pointwork would be better. However they do the job. If I ever get to expand the layout I will probably opt for the longer ones. Regards Yorkshire Junction 🚂
