Originally Class 390/0s ran as 8 car sets, so it would be somewhat prototypical.

I would say that the Hornby Pendo looks more detailed and the Dapol is more plastic.

Can you use the dapol virgin pendolino with a hornby dcc controller

I just bought a Dapol pendolino but found out too late its really noisy. Sounds like an electric shaver. Is a Hornby pendolino quiter?

Sorry for the late reply! The Hornby Pendolino is far better, just be careful as the motors can be a little temperamental, especially as they are getting quite old now.
