I would say that the Hornby Pendo looks more detailed and the Dapol is more plastic.

They may look good from the outside, but unfortunately they are really cramped inside and many seats lack a window. Thanks for your comment!

I just bought a Dapol pendolino but found out too late its really noisy. Sounds like an electric shaver. Is a Hornby pendolino quiter?

Sorry for the late reply! The Hornby Pendolino is far better, just be careful as the motors can be a little temperamental, especially as they are getting quite old now.

I kinda like the Voyager but I think it’s a rip off from a Pendolino and we don’t need foreign trains just BREL Trains.

The Voyagers entered service before the Pendolinos, I remember travelling on them when they were brand new back in the early 2000s. Some of our best trains we have ever seen in this country are foreign built, at the end of the day if they are fast, efficient they will be a success on our network.

looking good. for switches and wire etc. checkout electrical wholesalers like rapid online and cpc farnell, they're often even cheaper than ebay and you get to choose exact current rating etc.

Thanks for the update, security is very important, get some timber and make a square/rectangular frame to fit inside the windows and put 1inch square welded wire on the inside, it won't look amazing but it's a protection barrier that may just pay dividends in the event of nasty people attempting to brake in.
