The ooblet groups you challenge are always homogeneous but the dance-off group can be any combination of common, uncommon and (very rarely) gleamy. So far I've only managed to get one gleamy during a 'rainbow rain' day.

Hey, Katherine! I bought this game after watching your videos (used your link, hope everything worked), have been playing for 6 hours today and now I'm watching you play it. I love it! Just wanted to comment on gleamies as I'm watching, because I got one myself on my 3rd game hour! I got gleamy clomper and they were walking as a sparkling group on the beach. As I asked them for a dance there was only 1 gleamy clomper amongst the group and it gave me its little seed. I spotted gleamy dumbirb icon of ooblets in town for a day once too, but couldn't find them anywhere unfortunately. I have ~8-9 playing hours total, but I've seen only 2 gleamies so far - they are indeed rare. And it hasn't rained even once for me, I'm so unlucky lol.

Ooh, that is unlucky about the rain ... I had a similar experience: rain one day, skip a day, rain again .... and NO rainplops at all! So glad you got the Gleamies! I haven't gotten one in either of my games yet.

I think your rainy luck rubbed off me a little, because I got 2 rainy days when I played just after watching your video, normal and 🌈'y :) and I caught that birb gleamy as well! So, after 17 (!) irl hours playing and on my second in-game month I have only 2 gleamies and 2 rainplops. The grind is real, but I love it :D Good luck with catching your gleamies, too!

@@hollabackinsanity Hopefully you're getting enough oobsidian for the ooblets to water your crops! Just to be clear: a rainbow rain day is _not_ rain that waters crops or generates rainplops. It gives you a higher chance of getting gleamies! :D

A gleamy will give you 300 gummies. You will see in the morning announcement if a gleamy will be catchable on the island. I love watching your series. ❤️

Love your videos! So I have been looking into every video I can on ooblets I finally found one! So at the start of the day when you wake up and it shows you the oobs in your town it will show you if it includes any gleamy varieties!

I found a gleamy on the other location reached by ballon. You need quibs for all of the ooblets there, and I hadn't expected a gleamy, so I used up all my quibs before seeing it, and then I couldn't battle it. None of the quib trees had grown quibs that day either.

You have to challenge the gleamie directly, or get a special seed from the dance barn

Oh this gleamy businesses gave me super anxiety. On the one hand sucks that you didn’t get it. But also glad I don’t have to worry about missing gleamies that don’t show on the over-world.

I've really been enjoying your playthrough so far. I'm at the end of the current content, just kinda livin the grind. Tips I've got for farming when you get there, though. Just use the mid level sprinkler for everything. I grow 48 fartichokes a week, and they sell for 30 each, very worth.

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, or if you already know it, but you always get the seed from the one you speak to when you initiate the dance battle. So if you see a gleamy or unusual, ALWAYS speak to them to start the battle if you want their seed.

my clickyclaws got the police hat as well :D the first dance battle i had in the barn was a signature one and it was really cool. clickyclaws, lumpstump and clomper where my team. the better sprinklers should be okay. i played yesterday (dunno if they patched something by then) but my better spinklers water 5x5 as they should

The good sprinkler works great and waters a 5x5 plot. i have 9 of them the next size "great sprinkler" was buggy and removed from the game last week.

@KatherineOfSky not true with the sprinkler bug anymore the good sprinkler works properly in a 5x5 area. and with the ballon unlocked u can get all parts needed as u need sprockets for it - thanks so much Katherine for ur playthrough of this game as i was unsure of getting it, but saw ur vids and used ur epic code and have been really loveing the game! :D

The bug was with the Great sprinkler (7x7 area). They were removed from the game, (not fixed). I'm so glad you are enjoying the playthrough. Thank you for your support!

@@KatherineOfSky ah I didn't know there was another even higher tier sprinkler! so there's the 3x1, 3x3, 5x5 & 7x7 then :) my above comment was for the 5x5 sprinkler, which is the next up from ur current ones and just needs 1 sprocket additional to the usual recipe for sprinklers.

You're welcome! If you refuse the seed, you get no seed at all. You can't choose any ooblet from the dance battle.

what happens after a dance battle if you select "nuh"? don't you get a seed at all or can you chose a seed from another ooblet? haven't tried it yet.

Now that you've scanner the uncommon ooblets, why not switch back to the higher-level common ones and leave the uncommons at the farm?
