After listening to this discussion, you begin to realize that the creation of gangs and all the violence that came with it really was a multidimensional issue from its inception, with so many different factors contributing to the problem. Some self inflicted, other factors beyond their control. With intergenerational trauma from slavery playing a huge part on the pyschies of young black males. Our family lived right on the corner of 65th Place and Western Ave. We use to eat at Vivian's all the time. Their specialty for me was their Fish Burger. Way better than the one from McDonald's. That sandwich was SO FIRE!! And I remember that market that Skip Townsend mentioned on Normandie & 67th. I use to love going to that bakery right across the street from there.
