I thought it was interesting that Amanda recognized the importance of getting a Master’s degree to be taken seriously by society when talking about race, but didn’t understand how people could expect that same level of professional backing when discussing an autism diagnosis.

I really think when it comes to these men who like children it’s all true. I’ll never forget I seen a documentary on MSNBC about how a network of old men find remote / poor villages and seek the children of these areas and pay the parents to have their way with the children. It was disgusting. ALSO have y’all not seen atleast one episode of SVU. Where do yall think they are getting these story lines from?! The show has been on for over 20 years because they have so many real life situations to work from.

Amanda had issues with Marsha Ambrosia back in the day when she was in Floetry, When she was hired on the Real she left the show because she didn't feel protected. Now Issa didn't protect her. Shannon Sharpe wasn't fair. You're right whenever she's in spaces where she's the only she's not difficult, but when she's sharing space with Black women she's there unprotected victim. Things that make you go hmmmm.

I called myself self-diagnosing ASD, challenged the first two psychiatrists who disagreed I was on the spectrum, then thought I was vindicated when my new psychiatrist referred me to a specialist bc she wanted to be sure in order to know how to proceed with treatment, but it was explained to me by the specialist that just bc there’s something there, it doesn’t mean that’s definitely what it is. While I do have some of the social characteristics, what I’m missing are the physical components associated with ASD. And I’m familiarizing myself more with ASD bc my goddaughter is on the spectrum.

Amanda was asked how old she was when she got her diagnosis she did say I was 42. Then she was asked if she had been clinically diagnosed…
@taneishac41166 ай бұрын
Amanda said she was “clinically diagnosed” during the interview. She said she was recently diagnosed at age 42. Self diagnosing is very WebMD. Autism symptoms can match symptoms of other MH diagnoses. If she self diagnosed and it was confirmed by a MD has more validity, similar to the scenario Bondy mentioned because an MD will not prescribe medication unless they agree with your diagnosis.

My issue with Amanda. She can self diagnosis autism by reading stuff online, but i say the same about her degree. She got advanced degrees just so she can use that as a way to validate and justify her intelligence, then she has to take people who read black history online and then deem self themselves experts in black history. Amanda was playing with words, and it's frustrating as a mom as a child with ASD. Don't try to minimize my child or her spectrum by stating it's as easy as a Google search. Then stating $10k is alot while wearing a $4k shirt. My insurance treats ASD like a mental illness so it only covers 80% of all services so I make less than her but I find a way to cover my 20% & I can't afford a $4k shirt cause I am paying for her services.

On the Amanda Seales of it all. I’m indifferent-liked her on Insecure but don’t know much about her outside of that. I think she could’ve avoided all of this if she would’ve just been straightforward. She never said if she diagnosed herself just that the diagnosis was given. Either way just keep it 100 and stop with the verbal gymnastics trying to outsmart Shannon. It’s easier to advocate for yourself when you don’t mince words. Hear me out…I’m with Dan on this. I’ve been saying this since it came out. The series spent more time implying that Dan was a predator than talking about the actually convicted predators and victims. I’m not saying that he ISNT one because we don’t know that. But I will say that that not one person that they brought onto the series was a victim or even someone who had allegations that he was a predator. Also, Drake stated that Dan protected him when he was going through this trial. Dan is an ass but there wasn’t any actual evidence to even imply he was a predator. So…the lawsuit is valid.

I hear you, but Amanda Bynes has already stated she was impregnated by Dan when she was a minor. She revealed this a few years ago on Twitter. The documentary creators may not have had her permission to include it. In conjunction with this, it is undeniable that his produced content on Nickelodeon is sexual. For example, he came up with the name for Amanda’s character “Penelope Taint” and asked writers to not reveal what the name meant because of the sexual content. He also asked a writer to explain a scene in a sexual manner. This scene was for kids to act out. Lastly, he also wrote the scene for Ariana Grande to sexually squeeze a potato and drizzle water all over herself. None of this is funny to kids and is meant for adult viewing. P.S. he was aware of Amanda Bynes’s statement about him and he never sued her for defamation.
@Colie.20106 ай бұрын
@@Silly_u1908 it was never proven that that was actually Amanda bynes. Again, I am not saying that he DIDNT do anything to her. What I’m saying is, he may have a lawsuit. He may have produced sexual content. My thing is…no network executives saw any of the shows and signed off on it? I’m sure these shows went through many writers and executives. And NOBODY batted an eye. Again, he may be a predator. It isn’t even far fetched because him being a white male…statistically…you know. But can they say that without actual undeniable proof? Idk.
