I’ve seen countless bouncers who randomly create confrontations just to make their nights less boring and allow them to release some of their pent-up rage by getting to engage in violence without getting in trouble. Every cripplingly insecure man has had at least one stint as a bouncer, fact. It’s the same logic behind some insecure men wanting to become cops, to exercise power over others and engage in violence without getting in trouble (not that all cops are like that, but some definitely are). Except cops actually usually have to have a functioning brain and some physical skills, whereas bouncers can just be braindead meatheads waddling around cracking heads and creating conflicts where none existed previously.
