Soon brother. I know it will be soon that ALL The Luba/Ruba people come back. The Ruba in South Africa are called Zulus and Xhosas or Mpondos. Without Ruba, there is no Zulu. Ruba are also called Mfene (or Motsweneng) or Molefe and are called Sothos. South Africans don't know who they are because our history was erased by apartheid and colonialism. My cousin's father was a Molefe or Lefe.

why is it that any black brazilian automatically identifies with yoruba and recognises a yoruba as his king? without a dna test most of these people could be of bantu, ewe-fon, fulani, hausa, igbo descent, or from cape verde, anywhere! and this crying about racism and colonialism issue is sickening.

Because most of them are actually of Yoruba ancestry. A lot of Yorubas were shipped to the Brasilia from Yorubaland in present day Republic of Benin and present day Lagos, Nigeria.

@Blessing B do you think saying acaraje,ashe,ile,aiye,mojuba,eshu (all with tonal errors) is equal to speaking yoruba? candomblecistas can't hold a conversation in yoruba (unless they studied the language elsewhere) and don't fully understand the oriki they recite or the songs they sing.

@Blessing B yoruba religion is not pure in brazil, 1810 is around when the yorubas influenced candombles, very recent..please remember that the banth influence in brazil is immense and befan much earlier..just look at how brazilians say AS PRAIA, AS MULHER, OS MENINO etc..this is a bantu influence..nkisi were worshipped long before orisha..and the male were muslims..not orisha worshippers
