The DIO photo is weirder the more you think about it: - DIO either gave a signed nude to this one woman, or everyone person he slept with - Giorno’s mother kept it and gave it to her son - Giorno keeps it in his wallet, as a 15 year old - Giorno keeps a signed nude in his wallet - Giorno keeps a signed nude of his dad in his wallet - Leaky Eye Luka sees this and reasonably assumes it’s a photo of a family member, therefore implying that in Italy in JoJo it’s perfectly normal to have nudes of family members in your wallet.

@@Slygrond Let me gush a bit because i love part 5 and Giorno and i am a hopeless fanboy: (spoilers) basically i mean he has the heart of a pure hero despite all his shady methods: out of all the jojo's that are there Giorno is the only one who didn't need a classical call to adventure to step in: Joseph wanted to avenge/find Speedwagon because he cares about him and then got tangled into the pilar man adventure, Jotaro had to fight DIO because he wanted to save his mother, Josuke started chasing criminals that hurt people who are directly tied to him (his grandpa, shigechi, Reimi, etc)... even Jonathan, the purest jojo, waited for someone to cause trouble directly in front of him before stepping in. Giorno is the ONLY protagonist in Jojo (up to part 5) who knew he wanted to step into trouble to fix a problem that wasn't personally affecting him at all or the people he cared about: AKA become a gangster to get rid of the drug-dealing with kids. Giorno's accepts his adventure ONLY because he sees an opportunity to do good. The rest of the Jojo's are more reactive, waiting for something to happen in order to respond but Giorno is a special case because he is proactive as heck, he IS the thing that happens that threatens the status quo.

MUSIC REFERENCES IN THIS EPISODE + FUN FACTS: -Giorno Giovanna's Stand, Gold Experience (uncreatively changed to Golden Wind in localization) takes its name from the album "The Gold Experience" by Prince -Jotaro's somewhat slimmer appearance in this part sort of half-confirms that every JoJo, if put into the Part 1-3 art style, would be about as buff as Jotaro, if not slightly more or slightly less -The picture Jotaro holds up while on the phone originally wasn't taken during the Part 3 manga. Instead, Jotaro just had this picture. But to reference a later part, the team behind Part 3 decided that the Stardust Crusaders should all take a group picture. -The picture of DIO isn't Joseph's spirit photo of DIO in the manga. JoJo names are always weird since sometimes it's not clear whether the EXACT reference name is "correct" or the slightly changed one as a quirk of Romanizing Japanese. Abdul/Avdol is another one like Bucciarati/Buccellati since it could easily be both. I personally lean on the side of "exactly like the reference" but, there's no denying names like Esidisi (ACDC) and Kars (Cars) have become so engrained they're hard to shake.

tbh it does not do justice to the manga even though it's a good adaptation. I blame the need for certain episode length restriction where they had to drag out or shorten certain scenes. Manga feels like nonstop action. Anime is more spaced out and it shows. Also the final villain fight was just poorly done. There are some obvious storyboarding issues with that one where some scenes make no sense at all.

Yeah Giornos stand has a lot goin on, but you got the right idea. It “imbues things with life” or more accurately, transforms inorganic matter into organic matter. If that organic matter happens to be a living organism, like a frog or even just a tree, then that organism gains an ability of its own, that being damage deflection. The damage deflection isnt something he can do directly, its more a defense mechanism given to his creations. The “Sanctity of life” is kinda the central motif of Gold Experience.

26:15 yeah correct, Gold Experience has the ability to give life, and reflect damage caused to said lifeforms. it's very complicated tho xd either turning inanimate objects into animals or plants, giving life to people to heal them and or accelerate their body and consciousness, heal people by remaking organs and body parts and replacing blood, he can also blitz trough a creature's lifespan by overflowing it with life energy until they grow old and die, and any damage made to the living creatures he makes and controls will be reflected proportionally to the thing or person who caused the damage(he they shoot it with a gun or hit one with a sword the person takes damage if the person does something different like pushing a rock so it falls on the animal or uses a power that he isn't directly responsible for the force aplied on the creature they wont take damage). and lastly it can punch fast like just about any other stand.

Not sure if someone might have mentioned this! But Koichi and his girlfriend, Yukako are implied to be still together haha. In one of the fighting games where Yukako is a playable character, she has a special opening introduction if she fights against Giorno. Something along the lines about how Koichi told her about him stealing her boyfriend’s bag, and that she’s basically mad and here for revenge for Koichi. This goes the same with I think most playable characters from part 4 who are in Josuke’s friend circle. If they fight against Giorno, they all bring up the fact that He stole Koichi’s bag. Which is hilarious in its own right, because this means that Koichi just went home and complained to everyone 😂

Giorno Giovanna is explained to be a bastardization of his Japanese name, in manga it was done through Koichi figuring it out. Shiobana = Giovanna; Haruno = Giorno. I personally prefer his manga outfit color that is deep blue, but I suppose it would clash too much with previous Jojos. Also, they really wanted to accentuate musical inspiration for him: Prince. You may not pick it up immediately, but Giorno does have interesting mannerisms reminiscent of Dio, but those are mostly known through part 1, since Dio used them sparingly. Thankfully, he did not inherit the Brando alcoholic genes.

No, it is because he was using Jonathan's body, there was a portion of the Stand left, but I am pretty sure it was only useful for sending the signal to the other Joestars and the like, as Joseph says. The ability to copy stuff was a scrapped idea by Araki, because originally, Araki wanted Dio to possess all the previous Stand users' powers, including the time stop, but for VERY obvious reasons, this was scrapped because it would have made Dio utterly insanely broken. No way Jotaro would have won that...

​@@SwiftJustice Well...the simplified explanation is that it was Jonathan's body and the leftover of the ability that sent signal to Joestars and awakened Holly's Stand, or perhaps Dio learnt how to send the signal. The vines are Jonathan's body Stand, not Dio's. Its official name is simply "Jonathan's Stand". Because you know, Dio took over Jonathan's body since his own body was destroyed. It is not because of The World. Like I am saying, the copying is a scrapped idea that never got far because Araki realised it was just way too OP and it would create consistency holes, therefore Dio had no such ability. So Dio only has The World, which is a close-range combat Stand and its ability is Time Stop (Araki designed Star Platinum and The World as the first Stands ever, which is why they are "the same type of Stand"). That is all. The vines are not Dio's Stand or any such ability of his. They are Jonathan's body Stand that Dio can utilise in a very limited fashion (since he controls the body, but it is not his) as a direct connection to Joestars from which events of Part 3 begin.
