I still find these sketches funny after nearly 60 years and God knows why. Parsons and Haynes were perfect together, as were Hancock and James on the BBC.

An absolute legend (well, both of them really) - I remember watching the Arthur Haynes Show as a little kid in the early 60s, and Nic-o-larse has been an ever-present since then. There's absolutely no doubt he should have been a 'Sir'. The only time I saw him live was as the narrator in the Rocky Horror Show with Jason Donovan - he walked across the stage in his dinner jacket, stilettos and fish-net stockings, and his shapely pins were as impressive as his talent. RIP Mr Parsons.

God I loved him! Sobbing now! Even when he's 96, he was trice more fast and quick witted than any 30yo interviewers! So quick THEY have to keep up with him and conversationally chase him!

I loved these two together. Funniest when, like shown here, when they started to fluff their lines .... if indeed they ever HAD any 😀

This is why MARGO was such a hit in the Good Life, by playing it absolutely straight, but in turn produced such hilarity.
