This footage is F***ING AWESOME. How young they all look. Brian's guitar solo! Mick looking the most comfortable of the lot. An absolutely classic piece of rock & roll history, thanks for sharing 👍

I remember this. Had heard The Rolling Stones, first time seeing them and very impressed, specially Mick Jagger's great Rock n Roll loud voice. They weren't so famous then, just a bit.

“I Wanna Be Your Man” 8:35 “You Better Move On” 10:25 You’re welcome. This is the earliest surviving Stones live footage, by the way. Check out my big chronological Stones playlist. kzbin.info/aero/PLHahHqCn1CvnH3lg15U3hk7V8F4xbECbs

Reason it's the oldest surviving footage is because all the 1963 stuff was erased by the British Broadcasting Corporation to save money on videotape, way to go BBC....

@@leesanna7835 a toast & salute to whoever found the complete footage. Years ago, all that existed was a 15 second excerpt of the last few seconds. Maybe some of that lost 63 footage will be found someday....

Terrific. What a scoop to get the Rolling Stones singing live.! Just a shame this gem has encountered those thoughtless people who like to stick distracting digital clocks on old classic programmes.

They do it for licensing reasons mostly

I've just looked on IMDB for the show and they had other big name music acts of the time in various episodes: Gerry and the Pacemakers, Freddie and the Dreamers, Dave Clark Five, The Fortunes, Marty Wilde, Joe Brown, The Seekers, Lulu, Susan Maughan, Dickie Valentine, Alma Cogan, Anne Shelton, The Springfields, The Bachelors, Cleo Laine, Jackie Trent, Kathy Kirby, Julie Rogers, Acker Bilk Kenny Ball, Pearl Carr and Teddy Johnson, Mikie and Griff and the Mudlarks.....

Nicholas Parsons was very good in this. I'd only seen him act in the film the Big Job, because he was best known for Sale of The Century. Rolling Stones version of I Wanna Be Your Man is slightly better than the Beatles original in my opinion.

Arthur Haynes' character was brilliantly tiresome! He died too early in 1966
@None-zc5vg Жыл бұрын
He had "run himself into the ground' and couldn't relax the pace, hence the early death. Like Hancock, he thought his fellow actors/comics were getting too much attention, hence the dumping of Nicholas Parsons for Dermot Kelly.

Thanks for posting! If you have a second, we posted a cover of Van Halen. As fellow music lovers, we'd love if you would take a listen. It's on our page. Don't be too tough on us :)

Brian & Bill did an ok job singing backup on an ok song. Nothing special at all, but of historical note.
