the stick on the 360 being invisible is the coolest thing. I'm not 100% up for buying one myself..... yet, but they are getting cooler! I've got the peak design bag clip, and for hiking its been so good! not having to carry it, or have the camera swinging from my neck or tucked away in my bag, has been so good! I love how honest your reviews are, even when you've been given things for free!

Always great to see an upload from you. Something cool about the Sony A7s3 is it has 2 native "Dual ISO" settings, which it is cleanest at. Here's a list of Low / High ISOs: Slog 2/3: 640 / 12800 PP Off: 80 / 1600 Cine 2: 50 / 1000 Cine 4: 100 / 2000 You'll notice how much better 12800 is for example than 10,000 when in Slog for example.

Hey Hannah! You were one of my motivation to start a youtube channel. So glad you turned to 360 videography! I had issues too with the reframe360 plugin, but worth to try it on free Davinci, where for me at last it was working flawlessly. Before that I was using the insta apps and phone, but somehow I felt my hands tied. Well with the plugin a week training and post process felt like flying. Still a long way to learn for me, but challenges makes self improvement faster! I got today my first drone so excited to try it, but the weather here is not welcoming yet.

I had been wanting the A7III for a while but I REALLY appreciate that you put this out. The A7SIII it is! I personally don't mind the audio issues as much because my aim is to capture the visuals of the environment I am in rather than the noise / chatter / etc... I definitely do want to stick with Sony, though, as I find it's the best camera for my experience level. It's the camera that I'm the most comfortable with. Thank you, Hannah! Edit: also.. that slurp with the GoPro mouthpiece... LOL.

360 cameras are a lot of fun. We did the go-karting around Shibuya back in February, and I attached my Insta360 to the kart. You do have to look after the lenses on 360 cameras quite carefully.

I like Final Cut prtffftftfttt As someone who has used fcpx and Adobe premiere, I say don”t "upgrade", FCPX is fine, it’s more than fine. Don’t get sucked into monthly or yearly bills you don’t need! Hi Hannah, Happy New Year! May I suggest trying these for your audio: Avantree Lock aptX Low Latency Wireless Transmitter and Receiver Set. I believe Gerald Undone featured this in one of his videos about wireless recording. This might help you reduce the wear and tear of your audio jack. Cheers!

The focus issue with your a7iii is not the camera but most likely the nifty 50. It has terrible auto focus, you need to get the 55mm F1.8. One of the best lenses.

As an exercise make a 10 min vid using only the Insta360 OneX2. It will help you work it into other vids...a little tool for fun. I want one. One caveat...you must use every function available. Full demonstration mode...you know they will hook you up after.....

I think Sony wants people to buy the bus powered multi directional mic. Around AUD400. The audio jack definitely has a problem. A carry over from the A7III.

Really impressed by the idea that you make those traveling shots without a gimbal! Does that take performer-level muscle control or is it mainly about controlling the speed and will image stabilization do the rest? I'm wondering if someone with jittery arms like me could do it :). LOVE GETTING NEW GEAR! As shit as 2020 was, i also upgraded all my gear too (lumix G9 and also a Gopro Max). I used a nikon keymission 360 on my last trip to japan, but without stabilisation, the footage is so ordinary. How much do u love the instamax being so stable!! Seems like it was only yesterday you got the A7iii (didn't you used to shoot with an RX100?). Loved seeing the B-roll of the Ham with the Cam. i will buy your old camera gimbal if you still have it by the time we can travel again in 2022.... holy crap Victoria and NSW still can't get a handle on the Big C

Interesting review - very helpful. I am sure a lot of people will benefit. You are a champion for the concept of learning how to use the gear and getting the most out of it. You did not discuss any courses or educational resources you use. Any books or courses you would recommend? Gimbals are interesting. I used to do a lot of wildlife photography with some heavy camera and lens combos and this would have been very difficult (actually impossible) without a gimbal. I also liked how I could get smooth camera movement. But while I still have the gimbal (all the DSLRs and big telephotos are gone for lighter gear), it does not get a lot of use. Resale value is not great though, even worse than camera bodies and lenses, so it lives on top of my tripod, glaring at me. All the best for 2021 and thank whatever that this horrible year is over.

Love my FeiyuTech gimbal. Bought it the last time you reviewed it. Really interested in trying out a 360 camera. I was going to do scenic motorcycle videos with two or three GoPros, but I could just use two 360 cameras. 🤔 Also really want a Mavic. If you ever upgrade, I'll take the old one off your hands lol. In Japan now, so I've got to start making a videography plan! Only eight billion hours of motorcycle classes needed...
