The buckle on my camera strap unlocked itself once and I dropped my Nikon into a stone floor in an Italian church (from a height). Luckily, neither camera nor lens even got a scratch!

I had a gear bag that I seldom used, so it was kept all the way in the back of the closet. A mouse had crawled inside the bag and died, and I only discovered it when I was trying to find out what the awful smell was inside the closet. Yuck!

Kitty Psycology: The pain of peeing with the UTI makes them associate the litter box with hurt. So they pee someplace else, and since the camera backpack smelled like Mom, and you're the source of love and comfort, bingo.

I just finished watching your video about the 21L and I thought I made up my mind to get that one instead of the 31L but after seeing this I’m just not sure anymore haha! After using both, which would you recommend more for an everyday backpack that can hold a A7iii, two extra lenses, a rode video micro and other odds and ends, a 16” MacBook Pro and occasionally a few changes of clothes? Oh also I’m 5’3”, so I want to make sure whatever I get isn’t overwhelming huge on my frame and tightens sufficiently so it doesn’t hang off my back in an uncomfortable way.

Great video and enjoy watching your travels, you really do a wonderful job filming and editing them. I am not a youtuber or videographer, am just an enthusiast photographer. I purchased the Sony 12-24 F2.8 and thoroughly enjoy the lens (since I shoot primarily landscapes), it is literally as sharp as a prime lens...and the wide end of 12 mm has opened up whole new worlds of shooting! I definitely have the 100-400 on my wish list, maybe in 2021! Thanks again for taking the time to make your videos, I appreciate them very much!

I literally do almost the exact same thing. My Nomatic bag is laying in a room unzipped and I basically have been using it for a “gear storage” the same way and I literally paused this to run in the room and zip up the bag and put it on a shelf all while my cat watched me. 😂😅 I’m so sorry that happened to you.

Have you ever spent money on a camera and then just didn't get on with it? What did you do? I spend a ton of money last December on a new fuji camera after being recommended it whilst on a course, and I hate it, it's so complicated, I can't seem to get my brain around any of the controls and none of my photo look good, I've gone back to using my Olympus that I've had for 5 years, but now I have a camera I just don't know what to do with, should I keep it and keep trying to figure it out or just try to sell it knowing that I won't make my money back?

I empathise as the same thing happened to me, a Canon user for decades. As you bought it just keep using it, I use mine for street as it’s small and quiet. I just stick it in “auto” with raw + jpeg. Try out some of the recipes for Fuji jpegs to find one you like. I hope you have a good raw converter for the RAWs. Good luck.

Oh gosh, i would have cried as well if something like that happened to me. I don't have a gear horror story luckily but my father once went on a hike in the alps, the camera was in a camera bag in a backpack with the sunniest weather and then it suddenly turned. While everything should have been waterproof it poured down so much water in such a short time that everything got soaked and was ruined. I now always have my camera in an additional extra waterproof bag that could get thrown in a lake and nothing would happen, I got him the same one so this will never happen again... :)

Is there a reason you switched from Fujifilm? I just subbed this week and your June 2019 camera video was the first video I watched on your channel. That video sold me on Fujifilm, but I haven’t purchased anything yet, so I’m wondering if there’s any major reason you switched gear?
@allisonanderson4 жыл бұрын
My switch was mostly prompted by not having a concise gear setup - I had one camera for vlogging, one for photos, one for in-studio shooting, and I decided I needed to streamline things. I could talk for hours about why I chose to start over and go with Sony, but to be concise: 1. Sony offers full-frame mirrorless cameras and I decided that's what I wanted. 2. There are WAY more third-party products available for Sony than Fuji. More affordable lenses from brands like Tamron, etc. Also more lens options in general. 3. I knew of the success of the A7S II and had heard the rumors of the A7S III. I wanted a two-camera setup so I decided to start with the A7 III, with the plan that whenever the A7S III finally released, I would get that as my main camera and have the A7 III as my secondary camera. Fuji is still amazing and I loved my X-T2. But specifically for the work I do, Sony offers more for me. Hope that helps!
@sexysilversurfer4 жыл бұрын
I got a Fuji but I just can’t get used to the aperture control on the lens, the joystick is not designed properly but worst of all are the RAW files which need a really good converter to get the best.

Have you noticed any difference in cold weather performance between your Sony A7s III and your Fujifilm X-T2? I stumbled upon your video where you pointed out that the Fujifilm X-T cameras are one of the few camera ranges - some Olympus cameras being other examples - that are officially rated down to -10°C.
