As someone who's been working on getting all P Ranks, the levels feel so much more rewarding when you do learn their layouts and obstacles. Really makes them fun to speedrun, especially with Peppino's extremely fluid mobility! Odd case of a game where subsequent playthroughs can feel even more magical and epic than your first rodeo through it

I'm collecting P ranks as well, and it really forces you to understand the levels, and it makes many of the moves that feel unnecessary on a first playthrough (like parrying and the super taunt) incredibly useful and fun to use.

Yeah, I wasn't using the parry/super taunt moves much at first but they became extremely helpful and rewarding to use by the time I was starting to route out P rank runs.

The golf level actually gets a lot better if you stop trying to putt the ball and just run full speed into it, most of the level is designed to facilitate you just running into the ball at full speed, and it is really fun to speedrun. Also, if P ranks are too intimidating at the moment, I highly recommend trying to get S ranks on levels, the game is at its best when you're trying to master it.

This is one of those games that you should absolutely not judge based on its cover. Looking at its base art, you’d think this would be some kind of weird meme game. And yet, while it certainly has those moments that a chunk of viral games tend to pull like random jumpscares and meme faces, the game in motion is one of the most satisfying 2D platformers I’ve played in a long time. I absolutely love it and it 100% gives me the vibes that wacky GBA/GameCube era games give.

It's really nice seeing Bathaniel enjoying the game but man, he gets nothing right when making assumptions. Examples: 1) Gustavo is not a transformation, he's a new character. 2) Noisette at the end of the fight with the Noise is not the Noid and she's a girl of course. Although the Noise himself is a reference to the Noid.And the two best ones: 3) When he sees Gustavo in the granny's TV in The Pig City, stands next to it with Gustavo and doesn't realise he's seeing the same character. The zoom in makes it even funnier. 4) And the same happens with the Noise in the hub world. He sees the giant poster with the Noise saying ''Good Show!'', then sees the Noise right next to it and says "Who the hell are you?"

This game has something other games don't, and it's own identity amd originality, most games today aren't as creative as this game. You can just tell the developers had fun making it from the art to the crazy animations and especially the soundtrack, this might be my favourite platformer of all time.

I don't want to sound rude, but the clips in the video make you sound oblivious. How did you not notice Mr. Stick was pointing until the 3rd floor? Reusing transformations? Gustavo and Brick are their own separate characters which you blasted through the tutorial for, as well as being confused as to who the Noise was in the hub world despite just fighting them as the boss in the previous floor. The confusion about the pizza timer above the gnome pizzas despite the same timer being used in fast food saloon to indicate dwindling time. I am sure that you are much more conscious of the game as a whole when playing through it but this video did not make it seem as such.

Yeah, some people absolutely do not use their brain when gaming. Especially in stressful games where fight-or-flight locks away even more brainpower! It's quite a terrible habit that kids can pick up very easily. School is where you turn on your brain; ergo, games are when you turn off your brain. Hence why lots of AAA game studios are encouraged to add as much handholding and explanatory dialogue as possible. Some people just need orders!
