Dang, so late here. Those hand-made messenger bags were amazing !! White vinegar or vodka spritz and clean up with a cloth gets rid of the musty smell. Could have sold those things for 250 bucks a piece !!!!

Leather items that have mold and damp issues. Heat oven to 150* toss a desiccant inside each one, heat them up over a hr or so, keeping an eye on it. The heat will dry up the mold spores and help with the smell. It’s always worked with my old WW1 and 2 holsters.

i know some one who has a ozone genrator/ machne i think its called.. and he puts items in like a patsic bin with hose hooked up from that machine and i guess it can deoderize things... like maybe would work for those bags.. they use it for like musty smelling basment items and lp records though..
