God damn man, why is merch from KZbinrs so expensive? When I go to concerts and I'm buying a band's hoodie for $40 and they are lasting for around 5 yrs I don't get it. Before anyone says oh that was 5 years ago I picked up 2 a few weeks ago and got them both for $75. Yeah you may be making more per purchase but I feel like more people would be willing to buy them if they were more reasonably priced, that's more money for you and more advertising. Seems like selling them for a more reasonable price makes sense.

I used to wear them in my beach volleyball league when we had 7:30 games when it was a little too late in the summer to be still playing at 8:20. Which, included the playoffs. So while other teams couldn't see a damn thing in the finals, I could, as could another good player on our team. and that was all we needed to dominate. We basically became a 2 person team since we could see the ball just a bit better.

Visible light intensifiers/modifiers don't work if there is no visible light. Also people confuse "night vision" (light intensifiers/modifiers) and IR (infrared) a lot. Most modern militaries use IR on their vehicles since they are usable in even no light situations and longer ranges but they can only see thermal differences so usually you can't see lettering or decals and you can't see through windows.
@aznative_ Жыл бұрын
I agree. As someone who's never watched this channel before that made him look like he has zero credibility. Anyone who rides motorcycles knows about yellow lenses.
@ramacharya7843 Жыл бұрын
Yeah they work for driving at night, because the glasses enhances the contrast at night. Why? Well, because with the color yellow our eyes van see the most contrast. And blocking all other colors makes seeing things like the white lines on the roads pop out more than normal. And filters a lot of strenght from headlights. Most of them even the cheap ones have polaroid lenses aswell. Zo like polaroid sunglasses, the glare from reflection from water on the road wil disappear. Funny way to check if your sunglasses of night vision glasses have polaroid? Hold them in front of a phone and turn them 90 degrees. If nothing happens they are not polaroid.
@Tabitha_73 ай бұрын

I remember them advertising "The Amazing Elastic Plastic" in the mid 90s I want to say. I'm old. I'm 36. ANYWAYS, technically all plastics are elastic since they're polymers. The yellow filters reduce the blue light glare, but they also reduce the overall light entering your eye so you see less. There's probably situations where it's beneficial such as highly lit areas with a lot of white/blue/high energy light. Quality glass versions should be better if you suffer problems from glare. If it's really a problem get normal glasses with an anti-glare coating, they work for all light sources, day and night.

Back in the late 80's, I worked at a discount store. Around Christmas time, they got a shipment of Clappers in and set up a display for them, near the checkout area. They had a bunch of lamps connected to one, so that when anyone clapped, it would turn them all on or off. Right around this time I caught a really bad cold, that I was having a lot of trouble shaking. And that was when I discovered that the Clapper turns on/off with other sounds, too. Every time I coughed, the lights turned on or off. That's when I decided that I never wanted to own one. Just imagine what it would be like having a cold and trying to sleep at night, with the lights turning on every time you coughed. The Clapper was right up there with those keychains that beep when you whistle, and also beeps whenever your kid laughs or gets excited, and her already squeaky voice rises a few octaves.

It works slow but does the job when needed without having to drive around looking for air pumps at gas stations. And yes, the Bauer inflator gets hot also. I suppose it's the moving parts of the pump inside the plastic case.

The night glasses are best when used while driving at night. They cut down the glare of oncoming headlights. Some of us have sensitive eyes and headlight glare makes night driving tiring and dangerous. The glasses do a pretty good job cutting glare.

I remember the second thing you showed, the puddy. I think it came out in the late 60s and I'm 60 now and it made me smile to see this stuff again.

With the yellow glasses you need to go outside the moon help a little. I'm not sure if there the same as my yellow glasses I ride with but if there anything like them outside help a lot.

The Yellow glasses are AMAZING for concussion headaches, they filter out the blue which helps with the headaches and fatigue. I pick those up for that reason

yellow shooting/safety glasses have a solid place when driving. Heavy rainstorms. Clears your vision right up in those.

Anyone else think the clapper is terrifying? Imagine just sitting in bed, on your phone or reading a book, something catches your eye from the corner of your room. You decide to lower your book/phone and there's a demon or something staring at you, as you're frozen with fear you hear the most horrifying noise... two slow claps. As you hear this noise the lamp beside you, which also happens to be the only light source in the room shuts off immediately and you're left in the dark for a matter of moments before you either clap twice or rush to turn on another light source.

I put 4 of those motion lights up at my grandpa's place years ago so he could see to get from his garage to the house. He gets about 12-15 months out of the batteries. And yes, they work even in frigid Minnesota winters.

I lopve Tyler's enthusiasm over the lamp. It's so cute and endearing, as opposed to his usual fumbling about

I used night vison glasses when I played baseball/softball in the outfield for night games. They really helped with the glare from ballpark lights and helped contrast the ball. I don't think they are intended like true night vison gear like military etc. Not sure the ones you tested are the real deal tho.

The best anti-glare night assistance I ever had were orange shooting safety glasses. I used to wear them all the time like sun glasses during the day & they were great for clarity at night.

Those yellow glasses I remember wearing when I was a kid with my dad fishing. We would be out either early morning just before dawn or out late just past dusk. They really did help with definition in low light conditions. I do have to wonder if they didn’t have palm prints all over them before they were put in front of the camera, if you would have been able to see through them better. 😁

Was in the 1990s, but my Ma used to have a hand-held spotlight/flashlight. Fairly big, but not too big and most of the weight was from the big square battery that goes with it, instead of using C or D batteries. It was an awesome spotlight flashlight. It was like those huge Hollywood lights you can see high in the sky from real far away, except not quite as wide beam and not as much distance to be seen from. And when you shine in the sky while it's cloudy up there, it was really kool. I miss that spotlight flashlight. And this thing was in the 1990s.
