During my uncles gen, racing was the one thing everyone loved doing every weekend. As time flowed, they now all have a family and kids. Puts more responsibility as a dad to not do dangerous stuff and be able to come home, and eventually as you grow older you kinda get abit lazy and put less time on tuning your cars or doing maintenance and just send it to the shop to do it for you. Now im around the same age as them when they started racing. Ive been seeing less in this gen but still going strong. Sooner or later this kind of stuff will be a lost art. As more EV come in and selfdriving cars take over. Im just happy that im able to push my car to its limit.
@quest87954 жыл бұрын
The roads are getting busier here now, it's scary when there's a car sitting at 30 in front of you when you exit a corner at night. But when the conditions are right, people will still get out there and drive :)
@22damian934 жыл бұрын
@@quest8795 Cars are one thing. I made the mistake of thinking the corners are safe if I see no lights reflected from anywhere. Ran into a carriage once. Horse and all...Animals are also a thing. The more you hone your skills the more you start noticing how big a factor luck is. If it's an open road...if not you just hit it and whatever happens is on you. Or at least that's my opinion...I'll take yours if you feel like sharing or you think I'm off about something.
@quest87954 жыл бұрын
@@22damian93 I absolutely agree, I haven't crashed as I only push it when conditions are appropriate, on roads I know well. But on all of those roads, I can think of many places where it's a blind corner, and there could be something completely unexpected like a horse and carriage at the exit. Thankfully, most road users like that aren't out at night, but it's still a risk every driver has to consider 👍

Someone in "Sound! Euphonium" once said a similiar thing. Shifting gear to gear, the moments that you have to truly feel free. Power, grip and acceleration all in one magical mix, being transferred into the little amount of contact with the tires and to the tarmac. It’s all about balance, and control. This route seem perfect for being able to cross double yellow. My local spot is blind hairpins with 100+ft cliffs. Lots of ppl go off at that spot due to over driving their car and not knowing the road etc. so most of our "locals" follow the "dont cross the double yellow" rule unless you can clearly see the other side etc ( which is only a few sections ) so most of us push hard enough to keep it fun but not hard enough that you need to use the entire road / both lanes. nice driving and good video !
