I worked out with TJ Waaaay back when he landed in Sac.- by luck he and I did a mid level class together and we even paired up for sparing. The dude was absolutely solid. We did these long combos and I got lost and he just carried me and we had a good laugh. IT is great seeing the side I came across. Great guy, just human like all of us.

@ziggybender912522 күн бұрын
Hey TJ if you read this I'm someone who's been diligently stretching almost every day for about 5 years now to fix a life long shoulder imbalance issue that hindered me, I've learned a lot and I'm willing to share. For starters it's important to understand your body is way out of balance in terms of joint symmetry and everything is connected and affects how the joints line up. Right now you are having people cut you open and try to fix your shoulder in a position it's not meant to be in in the first place. Start with learning lotus pose on the ground and you will feel the adjustments that happen in your ankles and knees, the key is to start with half lotus and just put yourself into a position of slight discomfort and then hold it long enough till you feel the muscle release its tension and the stretching feeling goes away. Shoulder adjustments are quite complicated and take a very long time but in the meantime you'll get a kick out of the other parts of your body coming back into good alignment and it's all necessary for the eventual shoulder adjustments.

I like TJ but he's always been extremely biased when it came to that Cruz decision. I've been an MMA fan since the late 90's. I know how to score a fight and there's no way TJ won 4 rounds like he thought. It really was a close fight that I re-watched recently and still had it 3-2 for Cruz. MMA Decisions has 12 media members for Cruz and 10 for TJ so the idea that it's a robbery is ridiculous. Just the truth. He says he did more damage but his face was just as messed up as Dom's was. He says he out-struck him but Dom actually landed more strikes in most of the rounds. He also never came close to finishing Cruz. In the end the evidence speaks for itself. 🤷♂ Anyway, just stumbled onto your podcast. Good job. You covered most of the hot topics with BUT I wish you would have asked him about the Chris Holdsworth issue where he supposedly ended his career in training. I've heard mixed stories about that. I'm sure TJ would have simply denied it but just a thought. I'll tune in again sometime.

TJ Dillashaw's coach Justin Bucholz gave him solid advice; before every fight TJ would get nervous before walking out, but Bucholz told him "People would pay millions to walk out in front of millions and perform, soak this energy up." Before that fight, TJ would have tunnel vision, wouldn't pay attention to the crowd, just focus on opponent across the cage, and not worry about anything else. Bucholz said it right before TJ walked out. TJ said he performed so well in that fight, and tricked himself every fight after that to have fun. Enjoying the fear rather than the fear take over you and get tunnel vision. That's what switched his career completely.
