OOTD & Let’s Bake A Cake🍰

Fresh Plum or Fresh Prune Cake
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cups white granulated sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons brown sugar
12 small to medium sized plums or fresh prunes
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Butter 9x2 inch cake pan, line with/parchment paper and then butter top of parchment paper.
Stir flour, baking powder, salt & baking soda together.
Beat butter & sugar together for 5 minutes, then add eggs, sour cream, vanilla, lemon zest and mix.
Add in flour mixture and mix all together.
Spread 1/2 of the cake batter in cake pan. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon brown sugar over cake mix. Put 12 plums or prunes cut side down. Spread remaining cake batter over fruit. Add remaining 12 plums or prunes cut side up on cake batter. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon brown sugar over fruit & cake batter.
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 50-55 minutes or until golden brown and slightly pulling away from the sides of the cake pan. Insert toothpick into center of cake and make sure toothpick comes out clean.
Cool 20 minutes. Top w/whip cream if desired and enjoy!!🍰😄
