Slew rate is defined as the maximum rate of change of output voltage with respect to time. It is important to note that this has nothing to do with the gain of the amplifier. Amplifiers with high gain, as well as those with low gain, can suffer from slewing. In this video, we look at a quick way of determining the slew rate of an amplifier, as you would in lab. We also discuss potential issues with rise time.
