This tutorial will show you how to create an illusion of rippled fabric. Some see summer drinking straws or striped pencils... either way it is convincingly full of space and dimension! The shading and blending is what makes this illusion believable, so there is a quick overview of how to use complementary color and tints to create realistic shadows and highlights.

I'm making some portraits and other creations as gifts (because we all know artists can't 'buy gifts, right? lol) It's crunch time and all my spare time is taken with the gifts of creation! @@jennaturin9885 same here!!! I plan on using holiday/winter colors and using these drawings as gifts! Hopefully they come out well lol I haven't worked much seriously with colored pencil much, so this seems like a perfect project! Easy enough for a beginner like me but can easily be elevated and transformed into a more challenging piece by adding extra colors, blending using more shades, etc. I seriously can't thank you enough for all your vids and will be waiting as patiently as possible for your after holiday craziness vid 😅 notifications turned on!
