Thunder king is definitely an interesting option but I agree with what you said, Barrier is just simply more effective by preventing special summons

im struggling so hard to be consistent with the deck and end up with 2 cards on the field, I've been playing against kashtira lately and they are killing me on their second turn my sweet up sucks so hard.

Kashtira naturally has an advantage over many decks. You need board breakers or floodgates to compete against them :(

Ayyy my guy!! I agree, Toy Box is a DM staple - being able to offer protection from battles has helped me last longer in duels. I love Kashtira but I hate playing against it so much. Does your DM Kashtira include the Toy Box engine too? Every time I use combination, I def think back to when you suggested it bro. Really appreciate man!!

Also bro I got an extra deck monster I been experimenting with that I want you to try. I’m still trying it out but it works perfect with toy box. I need to follow your socials so I can dm you about it. Aye bro I’m just glad I could add a good card to your deck that’s helps you make plays. DM is limited so we gotta try and make do with the cards we do got for now lol.

Bro, the duel against Floo was amazing! A bunch of interactions, the best of YGO. Let me ask you, have you ever consider to change the Nadir package for (Cartesia + Guidind Quem + Granguignol) package? It feels for me that this package can bring Master Magia easier and also free some spaces in the Exta.

Cheers bro!! I've definitely given it thought and I lean towards the Nadir Package every time because of its versatility. It also allows me to play DM at one copy which I am a huge fan of because the last thing DM needs are more bricks. The Cartesia package would probably get Magia out faster but I don't rely on Magia as part of my strategy - It's more of a finishing card

Hey bro, I'm no expert with Gaia but I can give you general tips to improve consistency. Identify the 'brick' cards and minimize where possible. I never thought I'd ever go to one copy of DM but it's been the best decision I've made for consistency. Be mindful of the generic cards you use such as board breaker & hand traps. You need a good balance. Too many generic cards and your archetype will suffer.

used a similarish toybox dark magician deck at starting from gold 3 now at diamond 2. Everyones decks going to be a bit diff but toybox engine DM is def top tier atm (Edit: top tier in terms of Dark magician Yubel is beatable but still blows to go against)

DM has become so bad lol. Just casuals using meta decks and spamming summons waiting half an hour for my turn, then when it's finally my turn, they have whole turn on my turn, just so at the end they either surrender or disconnect once I expose all that pointless spamming lol. Such a joke now. I used to play DM hours on end because the turns were a lot faster and more thoughtful. Now only play 1 or 2 games and turn it off. The waiting alone makes the game a snoozefest, and the summons spams only adds to the snoozefest. Like, what happened to DM? 😂

Totally agree bro. I'd love to see some changes to the game like perhaps a limit on how many times one can special summon. It's getting ridiculous.
