Pro tip - In all of these builds, one of the most annoying hazards are rodents of unusual size. Go buy a beast repellent torch from the the Isolated Merchant in Dragonbarrow and all the rats will approach, but never engage. This is very helpful in Fort Farroth or other places where rats tend to congregate. Not only that, but it works on Lone Wolves, Dogs, Giant Dogs (only those that do not have glowing red eyes), Boars, Sheep, Bears (not Lesser Runebears), Rats, Giant Rats, Basilisks, and Crystal Snails. It's a very worthwhile investment for 1,200 runes.

Hell naw. You can just grab the flail at the Gatefront Ruins then get Poisonous Mist AoW in Aeonia Swamp. Use the transport behind THIRD CHURCH OF MARIKA to Bestial Sanctum and head straight to dragon to level up as much as you want. Like 45 minutes. His guide is gonna take hours. He practically played through almost half the game. 😂 20 minutes? Yea right. Video was over 20 minutes sped up and edited.

I cheesed the Death Rite Bird by going down from the Church of the Plague, killing the troll so it wouldn't throw stuff at me and then parking on top of the skull and Rock Sling go brrr. Not as fast as throwing Holy Pots but still pretty fast.

Also quick note theres a somber 5 in the swamp of aeonia literally right next to the Nial fight and the ruins where the meteorite staff is. At the end of a small valley with a mage mass at the end of it.

That's extremely helpful. I've just been getting volcano manor access for my somber 5, 6, and 7 but this'll help for sure. The mt. Gelmir somber 6 and doing renna's rise skip for somber 7 in lake of rot will mean +9 and only fighting an easy boss (ghost loretta)

@@yobogoya4367 the wrong warp is the easiest way and the only one without fighting any bosses. The other one is the stupid godskin noble skip or just fight him (I don't like that method) or do the skip into Renna's Rise by jumping across the trees. That method is also very painful

To easily get to Gowry from the church: there is a tower near the broken wall right before Gowry. You can use Torrent to jump off the cliff and then double jump to land on top of the tower. Then, fall off and jump back toward the tower to land in the middle above the larger roof. Then, just fall down to the roof and then fall off the side nearest to the cliff. In multiplayer, there are usually messages showing you where to go.

Quick note: an easier Somber 5 is after you get to Altus, go to Redmane Castle and run past all the NPCs (so you don't prematurely advance any quests by talking to them), and there's a Somber 5 on the balcony next to the church that leads to Radahn's arena. Also, as regards accessing Leyndell early, following the path you laid out, it's actually beneficial to go the opposite way once you reach the main avenue, into the building with an oblivious Crucible Knight, and get the elevator that leads back up to the wall you spawned back in at. That way you don't have to do that dangerous run across the rooftops every time.

You can kill Commander O'Neill without swinging or even starting the fight. From the Sellia Under-Stair grace go south along the beach and then jump over to the area with commander. Crouch and walk up behind him and poison mist him. Once damage starts ticking just wait for it to stop before poison misting him again. Takes a few minutes but he will never agro or start the fight lol.

This might be a little late, but if you're on PC, you should close out the game at 80%-95% loading bar. Then have your steam library open to the Elden Ring page and click "Stop". It worked for me second try using that method. PC is a little tougher if you have a nice SSD drive that loads the travel very quickly.

I like to route sleep pots and go to volcano manor, after getting talisman, magic shroud, int knot, rallying standard, the fight is done in like two casts. I didn’t even have Terra magica, then I get my +9 before going into Altus. This the first time I killed Radahn to get into the Capital. Took me two tries because I accidentally killed the dragon. Word of advice is just start with clearing Caelid like normal and get the deaths poker first thing. Then farm the dragon, that way if you accidentally kill it you don’t lose even more time running all around. Good luck!

For those of you unaware of this, the earliest Ancient Somber Smithing Stone is in Mohgwyn Palace. Directly across from the elevator leading to Mohg Lord of Blood, guarded by several Red Aubenaurics with various weapon types and one of the Blood Assassins you've already encountered in the dark area of this zone; is a chest with the stone inside. This means as soon as you move White Mask Varre to Rose Church in Liurnia of the Lakes, you have access to a +10 Somber weapon.

Crumbling Asula is the best spot for getting somber stone 7. We will also get the bell bearing. By the way, it took me around 15 hr to finish this guide as a first timer. For wrong warping, Castleward Tunnel is the best location on ps5. With m.2 ssd, the round table takes around 3 sec to load. But the Castlseward took around 9 sec. I used this to wrong warp to crumbling asula and royal capital.

10:00 Night Comet is one of the best and strongest sorceries if used the the Staff of Loss, which can be found on a corpse hanging from a balcon in this city, even in the endgame and NG+ runs.

Yeah you actually do more damage with meteorite staff early, you wont get better scaling until you both upgrade the staff of loss a bunch, and also have high intelligence. Otherwise you are better with meteorite

For anyone struggling with this, I had the most success actually staying on the horse/goat under the big tree root.. when I got off him, I was weak health and was easily knocked off the cliff. But staying on the steed helped me take damage easier and actually put me in a better spot under the tree root. Hope it helps!

as an fyi on Greyroll, if you pop the gold pickled fowl foot just before the final hit on greyroll you can actually get three kills instead of two before it expires. Kinda barely too slow for four but it's a large enough gap to where I doubt it's possible. :P Still, you got a decent enough margin for error on getting three kills that I'd go so far as to call it pretty easy. I'm not entirely sure if it's possible with a +0 Poker (I believe you need another hit per kill?) but it's a definite maybe.

Not if you want do npcs quests, at all, you can go most places but you cant touch any grace, like if you want somber 7, you need to open volcano manor from the outside in altus, then go to raya virgin, defeat godskin and go out the door you opened all without touching graces and joining volcano

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this but for the wrong warp on console i found it easier to fast travel to castle ward tunnel (right before morgit) it took me less then 10 tries. The loading bar moves slower allowing you to force quit easier. hopes this helps people wanting to get into the capital.

Once you kill Margit you can also then do White Mask Varre's questline. Go invade the NPC in the Atlas Plateau for the kill requirement then you can kill the maiden outside of the Weeping Peninsula for an easy no hassle way of getting the Maiden Blood needed for the last part of Varre's quest. From There you can warp into Mohg's domain and do the skip glitch that let's you kill Mohg as well as every enemy on the map for an easy 800k runes. Then You can just run up and grab the Ancient Dragon Somber Smithing Stone from the chest right before Mohg's boss arena.

i just got done with my second fresh full run + all dlc bosses and saw this...... i guess round 3 begins since theres no other good games around rn, good video! also a smill 40k runes suggestion right for the start of the run it takes like 2 extra minutes. at the bridge before you get to lennes rise you can very easly cheese the night cavalry off the bridge for 40k runes and bloodhound step to pump some early points into vigor to make it overall easier, can provide a clip if needed ;)

Yeah. I had to give up. 2h and couldn't do the warp thing. I just got poison mist, got myself a seal and cheesed the Sentinel in outer walls of the city to gain entrance. Now I'll try and find the item Titus is getting and will follow the rest of the guide. PS - had to use some runes to lvl fatith to 14. PPS - and like the noob I am I can't get in without great runes. So no dice, now I have 50k runes to lvl and no clue what to do lol.

Wrong warp can be tricky on a fast SDD, you can use the "castleward tunnel" bonfire just before Margit, that will give you a split second longer to react, Im sure this wont be the last time you wrong warp, such a strong strategy :)

On PS5, I traveled to gatefront, as soon as the bar appears i counted 7 seconds, then closed. It finally worked after an hour. It helps jf you use the Switcher on the PS5 menu since the loading bar will be blocked. Have it open, and ready to hit close once youve counted your 7 seconds.

Amazing guide! my first mage so this is going to be tons of fun! For the greyoll dragon dupe strategy i can not for life of me figure out how your using the weapon ability and torch attack. PC keybinds are so wierd and i just cant figure out how to switch between the weapon abilities so if you by chance know that would be awesome!

I found it nearly impossible to cheese the bird so here was my fix (still easy) Use the ball rolling farm to get intelligence to 25. Fast Travel to church of the plague Pass time until nightfall take the path south but stay along the left side even after the path curves and continue Sneak past the group of enemies and troll if awake and ascend large blob of swamp foliage. At this point you can perch from the top of the cliff on the south side and shoot rocks on the bird until it passes. Bring 4 flasks and dont miss a shot or bring 5. Tip: sometimes the lock on will get interrupted by the bird going under the cliff breaking line of sight. ensure you relock anytime this happens or youre just chucking mana into the sky

You can also stand up on the cliff overhead and use rock sling and shwack him pretty easily

Great video and very helpful. I was amazed when i fought the first boss. Only problems i had was it took me about 10 damn tries on the bird. And like 15 tries for the hard reset, playing on xbox. Almost gave up on that part and was gonna try to run around normal lol. But after all said and done, its was worth it.

Dude…..that’s pretty sick. I’ve been going between my Mage and Assassin (bleed) builds ever since starting Elden Ring. Now……..granted I’m up over level 140/150 on each. Thanks to the death bird rune farm at Mohgwyn Palace (and some long hours game play on my part). But I’m SERIOUSLY thinking about either re-vamping my Mage to match your build or even creating a new build. The damage you created is epic!!

Aw damn, I wasn't quick about understanding the mechanics of the dragon exploit, and I only got about half of the runes that I needed. Was only able to get Intelligence up to 30, instead of the 40 you recommend. Will this build still work? I mean, I can farm the Lenne's Rise boulder, but I'm sure that's going to take about 50 or 60 runs :/ That's a me problem, though, it's all good. This guide is really bad ass, thank you!

Kinda seems like they adjusted the deathrite bird, because he has never once stopped at that root for me, he just crawls his undead self over it and eats my face. Might be something I'm doing wrong, but after an uncomfortable amount of times of trying it, I'm starting to suspect.... Edit: Literally the next try after posting, he slid off the edge, but staggered me off, too. A win is a win, I guess, lol.

that balls give +1952, you can do it with gold pickle fowl foot and it gives +2553? or 2653? something like that. and just run back to grace site, rest but dont pass time. then exit out and you will still have the fowl foot for several more runs!

dragon rune farm glitch doesnt work. doing the same method above 17:50 and not working Edit: NVM. it still works! gotta make sure to time your hits right like the video shows. i was trying to work out why it wasnt working at first till i noticed the action and timing was slightly off. HAPPY FARMING :) really enjoyed this video. first time playing and souls type game and this build along with the staff is going to make my magic soooo broken

This build is OP, no doubt. But I fumbled more than once while doing the buff routine. This is Definately for little more seasoned vets than an absolute newb like me. I'm just gonna stick to my Bloodhound finesse and shield for now. 😂
