Het handigste om te doen is dat paard laten uitrennen, het klinkt heel raar maar het paard wordt vanzelf moe. Probeer de andere paarden gewoon rustig te houden en wacht af tot het ene paard rustig is geworden. De paarden raken er alleen maar meer van in de war en in de stress als mensen gaan schreeuwen/gillen en achter ze aan gaan rennen.

My god this whole situation is just a masterclass in fucking up! Why did those people keep shrieking and yelling like that? People in the stands were in no danger but were probably 90% of the yelling....ffs shut your mouth and sit down so the horse can quit panicking. Also if you have a horses neck already cranked into an unnatural and likely extremely uncomfortable position if he starts acting up don't lean your whole body back on the reins. All thats going to do is add more pain at which point the horses might (justifiably) lash out and hurt himself + others.

Waarom ga je ok schreeuwen bij mij op de manege hangt er een papiertje bij de bak en de stallen dat je niet mag schreeuwen en niet rennen,dat hoort gewoon zo.Die paarden krijgen een trauma,verschrikkelijk dit😢.

This whole debacle was on an episode of Untamed and Uncut on Animal Planet several years ago. Apparently there were bees (wasps? hornets?) at the far end of the arena that were agitating all of the horses, and a sting supposedly set off the first horse. It's not possible to train a horse not to react to a bee sting. That being said, I don't think they handled the situation at all appropriately after the initial spook.

When a horse is full on spook mode there’s nothing you can do or say to bring them back down to earth. These horses are trained properly but since horses are flight animals no amount of training can get through their brain when spooked.
